Congratulations to Yuriy & Nicole, who tied the knot yesterday at the beautiful Hawthorne Estates! 💍✨ It was an absolute joy to capture their special day, and even more so because it was my first Ukrainian wedding—a vibrant, lively, and unforgettable celebration! 🎉 I don’t usually post reception photos, but I couldn’t resist sharing a few from this one. The energy was off the charts, and they even had a poutine truck! 🍟

These two are high school sweethearts who first met in grade 10 when Yuriy offered Nicole a chocolate milk, and the rest, as they say, is history. I’m so honored to have been part of their journey. Wishing them a lifetime

I have been so excited to share this gallery! I love taking photos so much and I know I’ve shifted from taking outdoor natural light photos to indoor photography where I’m using studio lights more and more. Don’t get me wrong I’m still your natural light girl and love a good outdoor session , but there is something about knowing you are growing and knowing you can photography anyone. I just had to show off these family photos because A: they are stunning and B : they were taken with studio lights and it was a traditional Nigerian family photo shoot, that I had the honour and pleasure of photographing and designing the set up. It’s important to always try new things and to challenge yourself. This was my first time taking photos of a Pagent queen and I had so much fun capturing these images for .

The last couple weeks have been crazy busy over here! July has been full of amazing photoshoots and it’s time to post some photos! This was a fun content shoot for a fitness trainer.I am so pleased with the lighting@! I was once so nervous to touch studio lights but I’m glad I’ve been pushing myself this last year in particular to try new things.

Literally the cutest session yesterday with Stephanie and Reed in the Studio and at the Leaf yesterday! I had so much fun picking the couples outfits and meeting their puppy Moose, and while it was raining outside and we did an indoor shoot instead, I am OBSESSED with how the photos turned out and can’t wait to share the photos from this session!

It takes a lot of work to put together the fine little details for a space, thinking how can things work together in harmony. But I think I got this one right. I currently have 6 installations going to have ready for March and I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I always think its funny how I put so much attention to detail to a space but then when it comes to me, I’m like meh hair up, no make up its all good. But this often makes me not want to take some BTS of me working on a space, but Im glad I got to snap these of me as I was putting the space together.

Reminiscing of my very first destination wedding in Montego Bay with and . This was such a beautiful wedding, we had such perfect weather and such a great time taking the trash the dress photos the following day!
I also remember they had THE BEST coconut cake and the groom had such a beautiful speach that he gave to his bride. Not a dry eye.

Since I have been redesigning my website, I’ve been going back in to the archives and re editing some photos. These were some photos taken during Keith and Jamaican wedding in 2017. 7 years ago now wow! But my friend and second shooter Brooke, had been with me and I remember us bouncing flashes to expose for the couple that would not make the photos look too shadowy( if that is a word). You know when direct flash makes that shadow that is not so flattering. I wish we had the a behind the scenes so you could see. We had a reflector and an off camera flash. These were some of the photos that were captured. The very last frame is solo natural light. It’s a very light and bright airy style. To me that type of style is a safe net. You know nothing can really go wrong. BUT in order to expose the subject properly and to get a good skin tone, you have to blow out the background. Not that it’s a bad thing, but when you do know the technical side you open up a whole world, and look, through our knowledge we had learned the year prior in school, we were able to get the sunset and a well exposed subject.

Reminder that it’s good to play around and try new things. As a natural light shooter , my style was mainly light bright and airy. I still love that style , but I’ve started to play around with shadow and not being so scared of them. These were some photos that I took at the end of a e-commerce photoshoot for . I had the opportunity to photograph their clothing brand they had been looking for images against a white backdrop that could be used for a catalogue. Once I finished all the photos, there were a few moments for me to quickly grab one of the models and capture these images. I tried something new and was very pleased with the outcome.

I’ve been working on updating my wedding website over the winter.
As some of you may know, I experienced quite the burn out in 2020. Emotionally I could feel I was about to have a break down sometime soon if I kept pushing my limits, so I had decided to take a break from advertising weddings and had taken down my website , while the we were all trying to figure out what to do with Covid. Who knew that It’s been a few years that it’s been down.I took to concentrating on building my studio business and portraits, and corporate . But I still knew that I loved weddings and I needed to figure out some things for myself. I’ll chat about that more this year. BUT in the meantime, my website is just about ready to launch, and I am back, I have put some boundaries in place to make sure I don’t experience the burn out again.
I still have to update albums from 2019 haha, and there are so many albums and photos I have been finding that are straight up GOLD and I have not posted anywhere, so you will be seeing some great photos this year.
This is one of the many precious moments from and Nico’s magical day. They now have a little baby girl that I got to photograph last year.
Kaitlyn had decided to do a first look with her girls and it was one of my favourite moments of the day!

Congratulations on these two who celebrated 7 years of married bliss! These two were my first destination wedding couple. I’ve loved taking photos of the Spulnicks over the years and watching them grow their family. May you have many more years of fun laughter and love 💕

What a blast it was to photograph your wedding back in 2019. You two are perfect for one another , may you be blessed with many more happy happy years together, full of fun , laughter and love! I’ve loved taking photos of you guys over the years and getting to you you guys ,and little Miles and can’t wait to see how many more babies you have!

This is something a little different than I usually post.
While I brought my DSLR on vacation, I prefer to take photos in my iPhone 13pro because of the convenience, and because of how lightweight it is.
I’ve been challenging myself to photograph more on my iPhone. In away your working with less. I don’t like to change the focal lengths and usually just use the default lenses as it’s better for editing in post. These photos are shot on the iPhone.
Anyway these are a few favourites that I’ve shot while on the go, I’m working up the courage to ask a stranger if I can photograph them using only the iPhone. I’ll keep you posted on that.
