Eid Mubarak ✨♥️

SOME TIPS TO FOLLOW THIS EID

✨ Control portion size: It's okay to eat your favorite foods on Eid, but use smaller plates, teaspoons instead of a tablespoon, eat in moderation, and eat slowly.

✨ Order of eating: Eat the vegetable salad first, then have your meal; any protein (meat/chicken) with any allowed roti/rice.

✨ Eat smartly: Choose healthy options that are allowed in your diet (more bbq, tikka instead of high-fat foods, eat protein and whole grains instead). Avoid white/refined flour, sugar, and white rice.

✨Drink water mindfully: Drink 10 to 12 glasses of water a day as it helps in managing cravings.

✨ Use healthy alternatives: Use stevia instead of sugar for sweetening your Eid desserts, and use low-fat milk if you want.

✨ Don't skip exercise: Incorporate physical activity into your day, such as taking a walk or playing a game of sports with family and friends. If you don't have enough time, just do a 20-minute workout. This can help burn calories and boost your metabolism.

Hello my fam!
I wanted to share something with all of you.
So, I was invited as Guest Speaker from the university I got graduated a year back!

I have done public speaking in many other platforms but this time It felt so good to go back to the place where I never imagined that i would come back here as a guest speaker and with all of the other guests who were like double of my age, and I being the youngest, setting as a Role Model to all of the future students.

Being a public speaker was always a dream for me. Thanks to Allah Almighty for blessing with all of those things I thought would never be possible.

Being the leader of , working as Sr. Clinical Dietitian in one of the fast growing clinic and under supervision of my mentor “Dr. Syed Ikram” was something I never imagined!

Thank you so much to my family, my husband, my mentor, my friend to each and everyone for always supporting me and believing in me.

I have been dealing with some other issues as well along with all of this! Need more prayers! 🤲♥️ and support.

Hello my fam. How are you all?
Let’s talk about Depression today.

I have seen that on an average 80% of people in our country have psychological issues which includes overthinking, anxiety, mood swings or depression and the list goes on.

This actually disturbs our daily life tasks, our goals, our career, our life and maybe that is why our individuals as a nation are not giving enough to our country as well.

Depression has many root causes, which includes, our peers, our family, our past experiences but the food is also linked with it.

According to the researches…
1. Consumption of ultra processed foods such as drinks, chips, candies, frozen foods are associated with more adverse mental health symptoms.
2. Long term consumption of high fat diet expands waistline and shrinks the capability of brain which further leads to depression, Alzheimer’s, anxiety disorders.
In order to cure such issues we need to figure out the root cause behind this, figure it out and let it all go!!!
Life is so short, and by taking so much stress, you complicate your life and during this process, the happy moments of your life are lost forever!

So, Are you a tea lover?
This post is actually for you. By the end of this post you will get to know the advantages, disadvantages and what is the best way to have tea.

✨ Black tea has various antioxidants such as theaflavins and green tea has catechins which is associated in lowering blood pressure, has anti cancer effects and reduced cholesterol levels.

And The tea which is common in our culture is with milk, and for many people with sugar too BUT without milk there is no chaii 💁🏻‍♀️

Which is not the good way to have tea.

WHY?

Because
1. The proteins that are present in milk interferes with the absorption of nutrients like phosphorus, Mg, zinc and antioxidants that are present in the tea.
2. It also puts on the weight.
3. Adding milk also makes the tea more acidic.

Adequate consumption of tea: 2-3 cups a day.

So when are you shifting yourself from Chaii to Black/Green Tea?

Naan cholay is okay once in a blue moon, but make sure to eat some healthy food in your daily routine.

One of the research showed that consumption of fruits -2-3 servings a day lowers the risk of some cancers.

Fruits provides essential nutrients and minerals that helps your body in functioning well. They are also a good source of fibre that helps prevents constipation.
