I’m sure you are on a ride extraordinarily surpassing that which we always discussed....save me seat on the transcendental train so we can continue to push past the boundaries together.....

When and I started a while back(see earlier post) we began slowly. Simple decompression breathing, finding his feet, hands, ribcage, head, and all the fascial connections in between. Breathing and creating space. Changing his frequency. Progress was slow and still to this day, let’s just say the slow side of things isn’t his favorite. But it gave him an awareness that continues to carry over into his everyday life. There are so many not-so-tangible variables to this work that are simply hard to pin down to a measurable point, playing in ecosystems. From managing anxiety, working through injuries, learning about ourselves, reclaiming our visual acuity, balance and so much more. Looking lovingly ahead to a 74th year long ride around in this physical body, we are moving, playing, running, dancing, climbing, laughing, and feeling better than we quite possibly ever have....proud of all your progressions, honored to be a part of your wild ride....

Panned out and out of focus it seemed like a desolate desert-scape of an unmanned mining town. Zooming in and adjusting the focus we began to fall through the cracks, finding some of the most unique corners of creation, both sapient sculpted and innate. Assorted shifting stones and sediments into the sea make it hard to shake the sense of transport to an extraterrestrial scape. Dropping into dots and dashes of fishing villages that have managed to keep their identities. Sun soaked hikes into empty amphitheaters from centuries BC. Handfuls of fresh feta offered up by free roaming sheep with lightly tinted wine by the liter. Turquoise swims in symphony of salt, sun, and sea sound. Milos in a day....

Honored to work with Professional Tennis Costa Rica National Team in their preparation for the . As we climb into the top percentages of athlete in any particular sport it becomes exponentially more difficult to deliver novel training models, with significant reward, and little to no risk. Here I introduce the team to a powerhouse sequence of lymphatic movement, hypoxic breathing, and the cornerstone that holds it all together . These modalities are synergistic and build progressive performance based on very ancient and ancestral principals. VAMOS TICOS!!!!!

Our brains are based in pattern recognition and prediction models (note this is a bit of a hyperbole to explain a part of a whole, intelligent system that no where near operates as a machine separate from its parts). The Cerebral Reducing Valve theory teaches that mechanisms of the mind act to reduce the amount of stimulus and perception of everyday life so we can more easily perceive, predict, and respond. This valve wide open when we are young and slowly tightens as we age, with the pendulum swinging too far in either direction proving problematic. Reach your arms up overhead a few times and see what it feels like. Now, visualize the movement just before you do it and imagine your shoulders moving fluidly and your arms light. Notice a difference? Sometimes learning new patterns can be beneficial, but sometimes the patterns were always there, we simply needed a reminder, as we tamper with this valve in our favor. can provide both: for some a new pattern that helps create and connect new neural paths. For others a reminding push of a powerful pattern that may have been innate. Both providing patterns for better predictions and enhanced production.

Pictured Scott uses FT’s Shoulder Trace to undo a 20 year bout with shoulder injury and a surgery prompting a new pattern that’s allowed him to get back in the water, amongst many other things. Much like the brain, each piece of FT needs to be considered with its ecosystemic whole. This movement looks easy...it’s not...Scott has put in the practice, mental and physical, starting with something completely new to him, to get to this point...

What started as a small seed of experimentation to alleviate the neck pain that had been experiencing quickly turned into a deep dive on breathing mechanics, biochemistry, an understanding of the fascial system, and how we can use it to become stronger than we thought possible. Soaking up the information, and with fierce focus, he began to practice daily, making his movement regenerative...and just in time.For a reasons unknown covid hit Cesar harder then most and landed him 11 consecutive days in the hospital feeling oxygen uptake grind to a halt.In his most difficult of times he says he remembered all of the work we’ve done and the knowledge he’s gained.Remember the muscles that breath you, we now know them well, and how to activate them.Remember how to create the space for inspiration and respiration.Remember the chemosensory feeling of elevated carbon dioxide and a decreased breathing volume, stay calm, one breath at a time.He even showed the doctors some of his fundamentals.The emergency care was excellent and necessary, but even his doctor admitted the course of action taken was greatly, and positively influenced, even dependent, on Cesar’s postural power.These photos were taken about 10 days post hospital exit and Cesar is working with an even more tenacious in(tension). lymphatic work is quickly clearing leftover inflammation and medication, hypoxic breath holding is restoring oxygen uptake quickly, and his favorite FT exercises have him well ahead of the months of recovery his doctors predicted.These principals are simple but strong. In knowledge there is power but it’s up to you learn, to change, to actively adapt, to take control...some day it may just save your life...

has always had some telltale signs of circulatory dysfunction and stagnation: muscle tightness, mild chronic fatigue, mild soreness and swelling in the legs and pain behind the knees, etc. She’s also been my first and foremost willing research subject, for anything and everything I’ve learned in my studies of human function, for the better part of almost five years (I can’t even remember how I began to introduce modalities before that). These photos span about 3.5 of those years since learning Gua sha treatment in the East. Gua sha is a form of light scraping to relieve muscle pain and tension, promote circulation and regeneration of tissue. There is plenty more awesome information and I encourage a bit of your own research. You can read the amount, color, texture, and time it takes to return to normal of the spotting, or petechiae (sha). This tells us the humans personal story as to toxins in the body, stagnation, circulation, and overall health. Ok, so what does it all mean? The first five photos are Dilara’s Gua Sha treatments over years and you can see some commonality between them in the darker, spotty color, where the color shows up most, and the fact that it always takes an average of 3-5 days to return to normal, as well as being followed immediately and consistently by heavy detoxification symptoms. The last two photos are today, post Gua sha treatment and more importantly, after adding daily LYMPHATIC MOVEMENT and organ resets I’ve learned and implemented from . The pressure and intensity of the Gua sha is always the same, but in the last photos you can see a healthy, rosy coloration, much less of it, and it has already begun to fade after only an hour post-treatment.So far no detoxification symptoms either.This stuff is simple but POWERFUL. That’s why I’ve been pumping it non stop to all of my friends, clients, family, and anyone else I work with along with the other steadfast biomechanics of and hypoxic breath work. Remember, lymph is immune function, lymph is circulation, lymph is nerve communication, lymph is LIFE.Think bigger, think systems, think ecosystems...simple changes can have HUGE impact...

As Fufu gets ready to head back to South Africa to wrap up her old life and return to Costa Rica, I can’t help but applaud the changes she has made and her devotion toward autonomous, self-care. In just under four months we went from a Body Oxygen Level Test (a measure of breathlessness and efficiency of breathing) from 11 seconds to 20. This means from chronic pneumonia symptoms, panic attacks, and trouble climbing stairs to dominance over breathing efficiency, being able to breathe calmly and efficiently while carrying load up and down stairs as well as chase the family dogs down the beach without worry of hyperventilation. Moving from a negative feedback loop of anxiety and fear to power and poise. From back pain and symptoms of lumbar arthritis during daily movements, and large scale restriction of those movements, to a confidence in her foundation that doesn’t just remove these restrictions but also allows her room for exploration and play. Shattering any ceiling on our target goals and going from worry of not keeping up with the grandkids to the grandkids having to keep up with her. I’ve listened and she’s learned a lot along the way, shifting from passive comments about her memory not being what it used to be to a newly found neuroplasticity(she even taught me a little Zulu that she recently remembers from childhood). Understanding anatomy and function as well as biochemistry of breathing mechanics and even the role of the lymphatic system: because “no system works alone, no system heals alone”. So proud of all her hard work, understanding, and overall change, as well as how far she has come in her own volition. To be continued....

, at age 72, asserting dominant control over his personal health and wellness. But it didn’t happen overnight. When I met Bill, he was in good amount of pain and struggling with hindering movement patterns from over 30 years in the high-stress life as the founder of one of the photography industry’s premier talent representation agencies. Retirement was the first step in a major life change. But we don’t talk much about the past. We discuss what it means to move NOW, and what it may mean to continue to move, learn, grow, and play in the future. What are the biochemical and biomechanical factors of what it means to breathe? And how a little (with a dash of other modalities) each day can go such a long way. Running on the beach without pain was just one goal, and I’ll let the few strides ahead of me and big smile do the talking as his neighbor snuck this video towards the end of our routine.... keep moving, keep running, keep DANCING, and as always stand on your head every once in a while! I’ve learned so much from working with you....
