Hohe Heizkosten sind aus der medialen Öffentlichkeit scheinbar verschwunden. Bei Mieterinnen und Mietern mit Zentralheizung oder Fernwärme kommen Heizkostenabrechnungen mit den hohen Preisen von 2022 größtenteils erst jetzt an. Mit den Abrechnungen für 2023 drohen ab Frühjahr 2024 weiter hohe Nachzahlungen und der Erhöhung der monatlichen Abschläge. Dies führt zu Verunsicherung.
Worauf muss man bei einer Abrechnung achten? Woran erkenne ich Fehler in meiner Abrechnung? Wie kann ich mich gegen unberechtigte Forderungen wehren? Welche Unterstützungen gibt es, wenn die Forderungen doch berechtigt sein sollten?
Der frühere Geschäftsführer des Mietervereins Rainer Stücker greift in einem Vortrag die wichtigsten Punkte zur Heizkostenabrechnung, neuen Mieterrechten zur Verbrauchsinformation und zur CO2 Besteuerung auf. Auch finanzielle Unterstützungen bei berechtigten Forderungen können vorgestellt werden. Rückfragen und Diskussion sind willkommen.

Save the Date!
High heating costs have seemingly disappeared from the media spotlight. Tenants with central heating or district heating are for the most part only now receiving heating bills with the high prices from 2022. With the bills for 2023, there is the threat of further high additional payments and an increase in monthly instalments from spring 2024. This leads to uncertainty.
What do I need to look out for in a bill? How can I recognise errors in my bill? How can I defend myself against unjustified claims? What support is available if the claims are justified?
The former managing director of the tenants' association, Rainer Stücker, will address the most important points on heating cost billing, new tenants' rights to consumption information and CO2 taxation in a presentation. Financial support for justified claims can also be presented. Questions and discussion are welcome.

Deutschlandticket-Update
What it is and how you can get it.

Students with a semester ticket can buy a Deutschlandticket upgrade.
It currently costs €12.33 per month.
The upgrade ticket is always valid for one calendar month, regardless of which day of the month you buy the ticket.
In the following, we present various options for purchasing the
purchase the ticket.

Subscription models

You can buy the subscription ticket in the VRR App,
the Dotick app and the Mobil.NRW app. The ticket is automatically renewed if you do not cancel it by the 10th of the month.
This also means that you have to buy the ticket for at least 2 months if you buy it after the 10th of the month.
However, there are no cancellation fees.
This option is useful if you already know that you want to book the ticket for several months.

Single ticket

You can purchase a single ticket via the Online Ticket Shop NRW of Deutsche Bahn.
The single ticket is also valid for the current calendar month. Cancellation is not necessary. However, you can also purchase tickets for a future month.
This option is useful if you only want to buy the ticket for a single calendar month.

möglicherweise kennt Ihr sie schon, die Theaterflatrate des Theater
Dortmund für Studierende der TU Dortmund.
Das bedeutet im Klartext, dass Vorstellungen der Oper, des Balletts, des Schauspiels und des Kinder-und Jugendtheaters, sowie die Konzerte der Dortmunder Philharmoniker von Euch zum Nulltarif besucht werden können.

NEU ist, dass die Tickets ab sofort auch online abgerufen werden können (ab dem 01.11.2023 ist die Buchung ausschließlich online möglich). Um ein kostenloses Ticket zur persönlichen Nutzung für Vorstellungen des Theater Dortmund zu erhalten, ist lediglich Eure Registrierung auf der Website des Theater Dortmunds
erforderlich.

Das TU-Ticket kann dann immer frühestens ab einer Woche vor der
gewünschten Vorstellung über den Webshop des Theater Dortmund abgerufen werden, sofern die Vorstellung nicht ausverkauft ist.
Ausgenommen sind Gastspiele und Sonderveranstaltungen. Für Premieren ist die Ticketbuchung erst ab einer Stunde vor Vorstellungsbeginn möglich.

You may already be familiar with the theatre flat rate offered by the
Dortmund for students of the TU Dortmund. In plain language, this means that performances of the opera, ballet, play and theatre and the theatre for children and young people, as well as the concerts of the Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra concerts can be attended by you for free.

Der AK HoPo trifft sich das nächste
Mal am 08.11.2023 um 16 Uhr im AStA-Seminarraum. Das Treffen wird unter dem Motto "Sichtbarmachen der hochschulpolitischen Vorgänge" stehen und unter anderem die Gestaltung des und die weitere Werbung für den hochschulpolitischen Newsletter behandeln.

Wir freuen uns auf Eure Ideen und über jeden, der kommt.
Es wird Kaltgetränke und Snacks geben: Also noch mehr Grund zu kommen!

Der Arbeitskreis ist für jeden offen und beschäftigt sich damit, welche Interessen wir Studierenden gegenüber der Uni oder anderer Instituitionen (wie dem Studierendenwerk) verstärkt vertreten wollen und wie sich diese erreichen lassen. Die Themen dabei sind:
- mehr Mitbestimmung
- weniger Hürden für Veranstaltungen/Events
- Verbesserung der Studienbedingungen auf allen Ebenen
- mehr finanzielle Unterstützung/Entlastung
und die Kernfrage: Wie steigern wir die Sichtbarkeit dieser Themen und der Studierendenschaft als Ganzes?

The next meeting of the AK HoPo will be on 08.11.2023 at 16 o'clock in the AStA seminar room. The meeting will be under the motto "Making university political processes visible" and will deal, among other things, with the design of and further advertising for the university political newsletter.

We look forward to your ideas and to everyone coming.
There will be cold drinks and snacks: So even more reason to come!

The working group is open to everyone and deals with what interests we students want to represent more strongly to the university or other institutions (such as the Studierendenwerk) and how these can be achieved. The topics are
- more co-determination
- less hurdles for events
- improvement of study conditions on all levels
- more financial support/relief
and the key question: how do we increase the visibility of these issues and the student body as a whole?

First Semester Aid Station
Daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If you find yourself lost on campus, in need of assistance, or a place to rest, don't hesitate to visit our First Semester Aid Station. Here's what we offer:
• Beach chairs and beverages
• Orientation and guidance
• A quiet room with hot beverages
• Information about the General Student Council and university politics
You can locate the station in front of Emil-Figge 50.

Day of German Unity
Tuesday, all day

Please note that due to the bank holiday, there are no events scheduled for this day.

Cake and Coffee with University Groups Wednesday from 1 p.m.

Join us for a delightful afternoon of cake and coffee with autonomous committees, student working groups, student associations, and more. Everyone interested in university politics and looking for an active campus life is welcome to attend. Perhaps you'll discover a group that aligns with your interests! Participation requires no registration; just come to the meadow in front of the Emil-Figge 50 building.

Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Do you have items you no longer need but are too valuable to discard? Or are you in need of something new but don't want to spend money? If so, come to our sharing event located right next to the First Semester Aid Station in front of the Emil-Figge 50 building.

We invite you to join our barrier-free campus tour. Together, we will explore the places, facilities, and services that are essential for barrier-free mobility on campus.

Laut Bildungsministerium haben erst knapp 80% der Studierenden die 200-Euro-Energiepauschale beantragt – das sind noch lange nicht alle! Nur noch bis zum 30. September habt ihr Zeit dafür – beantragt die Pauschale nun also noch schnell, bevor es zu spät ist!
