ከማንቸስተር ዩኒቨርሲቲ የተደረጉ ጥናቶች እንደሚያሳዩት፡ የመጀመሪያ እርዳታ ህክምና 60 በመቶ የሚሆንን ከአደጋ ጋር ተያይዞ የሚከሰትን ሞት ማስቀረት ያስችላል። ይህ ማለት በእኛ ሀገር በትራፊክ አደጋ በየቀኑ ከሚሞቱብን 10 ሰዎች ውስጥ 6ቱን ማትረፍ እንደምንችል ያሳያሉ።

ከኪዲ ፋውንዴሽን ጋር በመተባበር 60 የመጀመሪያ ህክምና ዕርዳታ ሰጪ ሀገር አቋራጭ ሹፌሮችን በሁለት ዙር ስልጠና ያሰለጠንን ሲሆን እነዚህ ሰልጣኝ ሹፌሮች በመላ አገሪቱ ውስጥ ወሳኝ የህይወት አድን ክህሎቶችን ይተገብራሉ ያስተምራሉ።
