SO Team Fiji arrives back home safely.
Team was welcomed by our Minister of Youth and Sports, SO board Members, families, fans and supporters at the airport.
Team was escorted to Tokatoka Hotel for a short welcome program followed by breakfast.
The team is delighted and grateful for the support provided by the Government, sponsors Fiji National Sports Commission, Digicel and Professional Real Estate, families and well wishes.

Miliana Nagasau scooped 4 medals today at Special Olympics World Games 2023 (1 Gold and 3 Silver Medals) in the sport of Powerlifting.
Miliana won Gold Medal in Bench Press, Silver Medal in Deadlift and Squat and was awarded another Silver Medal for overall category.
Iowane Taroko scooped a Bronze Medal in the sport of Swimming (50m Freestyle -Level A)
Karalaini Cakautabu also scooped a Bronze Medal in the sport of Swimming (50m Freestyle- Level A)

Finals underway and our athletes are doing their level best
Congratulations to our athletes who have successfully finished their events and best of luck to those left to compete.
Glory to the almighty God. Yes, first GOLD MEDAL for SO Fiji won by our dedicated and talented athlete Petero Kaniliwa. Petero took part in 3 disciplines in Powerlifting. He won a Gold Medal in the Deadlift discipline, Bronze Medal in Squat discipline and was placed on 4th place for bench press.
Ponijese Duncan stood proud receiving his Bronze Medal for Table Tennis Singles Event.
Siteri Daulili was placed on 4th position in Table Tennis Singles Event.
Rukkya Bi with her great effort was placed on 6th position in 1500m run and scored Personal Best result in 800m run.
Divam Sami did his best and received participation award in both his events.
Samu Vuetasau and Maria Teresia were placed on 4th position for Badminton Mixed Doubles.

Athletes were given a chance to showcase their talents working together with these students to paint hand prints on the wall.
It was also and honor for SO Team Fiji to meet with Secretary of Education, Sports and Arts.

World Games preparations underway for Special Olympics Fiji 💪
Team Preparation for upcoming SO World Summer Games 💪
Special Olympics Fiji hosted a discussion session to allow the movement to work on its plans to better improve and support persons with ID. Thanking the Fiji National Sports Commission , National Council for Persons with Disabilities and Fijian Ministry of Youth and Sports for coming on board to assist SO Fiji.
SO Fiji held its trials over the Easter weekend with athletes around the country. The team chosen will represent the country in the World Games hosted by Berlin Germany this year.
