We are reopening tomorrow after our summer break! To celebrate we will be serving on filter. Originally from the U.S. they now roast in Europe in partnership with Manhattan Coffee Roasters in Rotterdam. We are among the lucky first cafés to be able to retail their coffees in Europe so make sure you grab one fast before it's gone (very limited quantities)

We are back tomorrow after a stimulating trip to Copenhagen for the World of Coffee. We tasted some amazing coffee and met with some of our supplying coffee roasters and old coffee friends. We can't wait to share with you the tasty coffees we brought back. We will be brewing washed Mexican and washed Colombian filters and a crazy Peruvian Gesha from on espresso. See you tomorrow!

Hiatus turned two years old last week. Thank you everyone for showing up. We partied hard.
It's been a while since we have featured in our rotation. It was one of the first roasters we ever served at Hiatus. Sam was a customer in the shop I was working at back in 2017 in Edinburgh, his roastery is now quite famous for its quality and consistency of omni-roast. It is always a pleasure to be able to serve such great coffees, especially this time we have a typica mejorado from Finca Eliza (Ecuador).
If you've been in the last couple of weeks you know we have been waiting for to arrive. It is finally here!
Paul sources the best lots in the world according to the harvest season. This time we are serving on .uk three of his Finca Hartmann lots from Panama and his Finca Soledad Sidra Wave from Ecuador. We also selected his espresso roast from Shoondhisa, Ethiopia.
Huge thanks to for sending us his coffees and sharing his work with us. It is a privilege to be able to share such amazing lots in Annecy for the first time. Pop in for a taste this week!

As many of you already know by now we have decided to switch from Kalita Wave to Orea V4 for filter brews. This decision comes after weeks of reflection about what we want our coffees to taste like and what we want our guests to experience. This brewer delivers a faster extraction allowing us more versatility and more consistency when making our recipes. This particular brewer is a collaboration between and .uk , it comes in narrow size only with a fast ring and neon green base. Available in retail at the shop too (limited stock).
Making our homemade cakes was always a priority for us. We're proud to serve the freshest cakes and we try to have a variety of things to please all.
We're glad to be able to feature this amazing coffee from again this year. True to its name it tastes like candy and strawberry, the mossto maceration gives it even more sweetness.
We're taking a few weeks off. We will be back on Tuesday 26th March ready and refreshed!
A bit of melancholy this week at Hiatus... When VHS was a thing, specialty coffee wasn't. Ben at has managed to get the best of both worlds and put it together. We have three origins on the shelves. And don't worry, it's as good as it looks, if not better.
Stocked to be serving coffee from this week. We're brewing this tasty Kenyan filter on Kalita today.
Still brewing the last of .possession Los Nogales on filter today. We've got tasty stuff coming from this week as well.
We know it's a bit late now but we want to take a moment to thank all our customers for the past year. 2023 was the first full year for Hiatus and it's been a blast! So thank you to all of you for sharing this beautiful experience with us.

SPECIAL EVENT
We're organising a coffee cupping Sunday 3rd December at 10:00. We will be cupping beans we brought back from our holiday in the U.K. with some amazing crops and roasters. We're very excited to share these incredible coffees with you, if you're interested in learning how to cup we will give you an introduction to coffee tasting and grading. Entry is 20€/person, we accept bookings by DM only (only 10 spaces available).
We're really happy to serve this amazingly rare variety of coffee called Ajì roasted by on filter this week.

We're fully stocked on retail! We got some amazing coffee from Obadiah and Gardelli this week.
We're finishing up our filter coffees from .cph this week. It's been a blast working with such consistent coffees with distinctive aroma profiles and notes. If you haven't tried their Aquiares anaerobic natural now is the time!
We are moving on to next, the coffee is still very fresh but we cupped their Guatemalan anaerobic natural bourbon from Jose Padilla and it seems to be keeping all its promises, it's got notes of yellow plum, mandarin and rose. We also got two other origins on filter from them and three for espresso, all available in retail 250g bags at the shop.

Four different origins available on retail. We are serving this amazingly tasty anaerobic natural Costa Rican today.
Reopening tomorrow after our small summer break. We made a few changes to the food menu with some different ingredients and new recipes.
First of all thank you all for the last few weeks, we have been really busy during the film festival and we have run through a lot of coffees. We brewed some amazing cups, especially the Peruvian espresso and the Colombian geisha on filter. It's been a pleasure to work with such consistent roasts especially during busy periods, so thank you to guys at .
We are now onto .coffee . We have worked with them before and even did a small written interview about the speciality coffee scene in France. You can find it on their website if you're interested.
We are now brewing a natural Colombian on espresso and two tasty but very different filters: washed Burundi and 48h maceration El Salvador.
Next we will be serving a washed El Salvador on Omni roast from them as well.
We just received our next order from .coffee . First time order from them but we've selected some great beans. You can find them on retail from today at the shop.
Starting tomorrow we'll be brewing a new washed Colombian espresso by in Amsterdam. Expect notes of raisins and salted caramel butter. We will also be serving Tiki Punch and Gesha Peru on filter. All available on retail too.
We have been brewing so amazing filters from the last few weeks! Time to try their espressos, first up Anaerobic Honey from Brazil in the grinder today.
