🎻 Calling all passionate violin and viola teachers! 🎶

The Wee Music School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to join our growing team. We have a vibrant community of young musicians eager to learn, with five students ready to start and a waiting list of even more!

Why join the Wee Music School?

Hit the ground running: Start with at least 2.5 hours of pupils ready to go!
Focus on teaching: We handle all the admin and fee collection so you can dedicate your time to inspiring your students.
Expand your studio: Bring your own pupils to WMS, and they'll have access to our fantastic concerts, masterclasses, and theory/history classes.
Excellent facilities: Teach in our fully equipped premises at Albyn School (4-8pm Mon-Fri), or in your own/students' homes.
Competitive pay*: £25-£35 per hour based on experience.
Dedicated email address and storage: Keep your teaching and life admin separate.

*This is a self-employed role, and you’ll be responsible for declaring your income and paying your taxes.

Calling all young musicians. This is an amazing opportunity to get composing experience with some incredible tutors and musicians.

📣 EXTENDED deadline 📣

Go Compose! is a composition course for young composers aged 13-18 and in full time education. It’s a unique opportunity to work with professional composers and musicians from Red Note Ensemble who we run the course in partnership with. Over 3 days you will create your own, original piece of music which will be performed at the end of the course. You will also receive a recording of your piece.

We are so pleased to be able to teach in these great rooms at the school! This will soon become a hub of excellent music for the Wee Music School!🤩

Music Lessons | Aberdeen, Scotland | Wee Music School With over 70 pupils, the Wee Music School provides music lessons in strings, woodwind, brass, percussion, piano, voice, theory and history.

Some great weekly ensembles are starting with the Aberdeen City Music Service.

These ensembles are for children who attend Aberdeen City Council schools, and there is no cost.

All our ensembles are for children who attend an Aberdeen City Council School.

Please note that Music Centre rehearsals are held at Muirfield Primary School, Mastrick Drive.

With an amazing teaching team, we can now offer lessons in *takes deep breath* violin, viola, 'cello, double bass, flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, trumpet, cornet, french horn, tenor horn, baritone, trombone, euphonium, tuba, drumkit, orchestral percussion, piano and voice!

Our new website is almost ready to go. There, you'll find details of all of the performance opportunities we offer, alongside our music theory and history classes, and workshops and masterclasses.

Our day of masterclasses with the amazing Laurie Rominger are well under way!

If you haven't been to an orchestra concert before, this is a REALLY good one to start with. A familiar story, lots of lovely melodies and some epic and quirky moments, all in the lovely Fountainhall Church, at the Stocket. Not to be missed. Children go free!
