Autumn is here with its glorious warm colours and ripened fruit🍁🍏and with it comes a new addition to the children's playground, ready for our younger guests to enjoy! 🛝

These new arrivals have been enchanting visitors this past week as they waddle between ponds in the garden! 🦆

Despite the drizzle today, spring flowers are making the scene a little brighter here at Deer Cottages. Not long now and the orchard will be awash with glorious apple blossom for guests to enjoy!🌼🌸

We love getting any feedback from our guests and always work hard to ensure we deal with any constructive criticism the best we can, but we REALLY love getting feedback like this:

"Such a lovely cottage. It was clean with everything you need and a lovely welcome with a packet of biscuits and tea, coffee and sugar already there. The grounds are lovely for walking in. We walked in them every afternoon and saw rabbits and deer. There was a bird table right outside the cottage and a variety of birds visited including a woodpecker! The deer also visited one evening! It was lovely and quiet there and very secure as it is security gated. I would definitely stay there again."

It brings such a smile to our faces to know that guests have enjoyed their stay!

The deer were spotted today, basking in the glorious winter sun in front of the cottages; the stag looking particularly majestic. Will you be lucky enough to see some of these beautiful creatures during your stay with us? Most visitors report sightings of these wild animals as the highlight of their stay.

As we welcome 2023, we say goodbye to a successful first year which saw our cottages mostly fully booked, including over Christmas and New Year. Thank you to all our 2022 guests, some of which will be returning this year!

British tennis number one, Emma Raducanu from Kent, is through to the second round of Wimbledon... when you book a stay at Deer Cottages you have access to our tennis courts and a practice set of rackets and balls. They may not be quite up to Wimbledon standards, but we're confident to bet that not many courts at Wimbledon have deer watching 🎾​🦌

This year's apples are off to a good start in the surrounding orchards - there have been fruit trees on this premises for over a century. Guests are welcome to indulge in some good old fashioned scrumping when the apples are ripe!

A lovely place to sit and drink a coffee watching the sunrise in the morning and to wind down with a barbeque and glass of wine in the evening!
