A very cagey affair for the full 90 minutes of normal time didn’t see the deadlock get broken.

Plenty of chances for Town but none of them were capitalised on.

We held Jubilee Sports FC to limited shots on goal throughout the 90.

Solid at the back but we just couldn’t take our chances.

0-0 FT

EXTRA TIME.

A beautifully whipper ball from sub Sam Metcalfe was met by the head of that man Danny Taylor who also came off the bench, beautiful header bottom right just out the keepers reach.

Jubilee then pressed and pressed but couldn’t get over the line in the first half of extra time.

1-0 ET HT.

Jubilee didn’t stop coming after the break and got their reward as they equalised with 10 minutes of extra time to go.

8/9 minutes of end to end football and tired legs before a Richard Blackburn flick round the corner found Sam Metcalfe who headed it down into his path before another touch setting himself for the volley and lashing it into the bottom left corner.

Town go mental, supporters and players. The familiar chant of ‘ALL TARN AREN’T WE’ rang round Sheerian Park, Jubilee must be having nightmares.

Full time whistle blows and Town progress to the Quarter Final.

Man of the match - a battered and bruised Owen Moule, solid at the back and took charge throughout all 120 minutes - sponsored by BW Fencing.

Also a massive thanks to Athersley Rec FC for hosting the game for us at such short notice.
