What a fantastic time all had on Beaver camp. Two of them were awarded their chief scout bronze award, this is the highest award a Beaver can earn, well done guys.

Low ropes are a winner. The monkey's are fantastic at it.

The Beavers are on camp this weekend, hope they have a great time.

We're hoping to open a Squirrel Drey here at 1st Popley Scouts so join us for two weeks of thrilling taster sessions where you'll get a taste of the excitement and fun that comes with being a Squirrel Scout. From exciting challenges to fun - filled games, there's something for everyone to enjoy!

Our doors are open to all young people aged 4 - 6 years old who are eager to learn new skills, make lifelong friends, and have fun while doing it.

Following the taster sessions, we need a dedicated team of adults to lead and support our Squirrel Drey. Whether you're a seasoned leader, someone passionate about young people or an expert squash maker- we need your enthusiasm and drive to ensure the success of our Drey.

If you're ready to make a difference in the lives of young people and help shape the future generation, we need you! Our Squirrel sessions will only continue beyond the tasters if an adult team forms to run the Drey together. Join us in empowering youth and creating memories that will last a lifetime. The scout shop is back open and is currently extending Saturdays opening until 2pm up to February half term.

Some exciting news from our Scout Shop at Base 2000! 🎉

We're thrilled to announce that the shop will be reopening on Thursday, 4th January, and we'll be trialing extended opening hours until February half-term. 🕰️ Join us on Thursdays from 18:00 to 20:00 and Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00 for some extra shopping time!

Please help us spread the word by sharing this post and encourage your parents and volunteers to visit. The extended hours aim to make visiting more convenient for everyone. A huge thank you to our dedicated volunteers who are making this happen! 🙌

Beaver and Cubs sleepover is going really well. Brids and Bugs is the theme. Activities range from colouring, to Bird bath painting, to bug hunt and holding. Dinner was eggs in nests (chicken nuggets on tomato pasta), now watching film Bugs life.

One of our poppies made it to Tesco's Chineham window displays.

We’re launching Squirrels in Basingstoke!

Squirrels is the newest branch of the Scouts family tree for 4 to 6 years old, and we can’t wait to start sharing skills for life with them.

We’re hosting multiple taster sessions in Chineham on Sunday 29th January, you can book your space online here (https://form.jotform.com/230043298534353).

This will be a chance for your child to experience what a typical Squirrel Drey session would be like, as well as give you the opportunity to ask any questions you’ve got and discuss which Drey would be best for your child (we’ll be running Dreys across Basingstoke on different days).
