At BMAF we aim to provide a nurturing environment for a fun and positive performance experience. We have trophies, but going out there and just ‘doing your thing’ is the real goal 🎭🎶✍️

What a spectacular final weekend we have had! Across Woodwind, Brass, Creative Writing, and Singing so much talent has been showcased.
Thank you to our adjudicators Paul Harris, Tessa and Ellen Lock, Angela Hurley, and Sarah Jefferies for all their feedback across the weekend.
The finale to our festival is at 2:30pm on Sunday in Queen Mary's Hall where we will have a selection of performers and awards to present!
We’re not all just music and drama, we also have a Creative Writing section! Our awards ceremony for those who have entered is tomorrow at 2:30pm ✍️

Weekend 2 is upon us! We’re starting off today with our Band, Choir, Ensemble and Orchestra section.

We have a new grant available this year for our high scorers, this new annual financial award of up to £500 will be available by application to solo entrants of BMAF who live within a 20 mile radius of the centre of Basingstoke.
If you scored 87 or over this past weekend and would benefit from this grant, please apply though the awards page on our website, listed below.
Our selection committee look forward to reading through all your applications and hearing how you wish to further your musical endeavours!

What a wonderful start to our 2024 festival! Thank you to everyone who performed, supported and volunteered.
Special thanks to our section secretaries Hannah, Clair, and Afton, and our adjudicators Anne Newson and Lesley Shrigley-Jones who worked tirelessly across the weekend.

Any changes after this date will only be accommodated at the secretaries discretion and will not be in the printed programme.
