We have our Well-baby weigh session with our volunteer Health Visitor. Tracey can weigh your baby but she has no access to your records.
We also have Hampshire Breastfeeding Counselling if you require any support with feeding.

Many people are surprised that we receive no funding from local or central government to provide support and services to families across Basingstoke and Deane, meaning fundraising and donations are essential for us to be able to continue.

Over the next few weeks and months we will be inviting the community to get involved with helping us raise vital funds as we celebrate 20 years of Home-Start in Basingstoke and Deane.

We are looking for '20 for 20' fundraising events/ideas. Maybe you could host cake sale or take on a personal sponsored challenge for us. Whatever your idea we'd love to hear them and work out how we can help promote and celebrate your efforts.

We are also reaching out to find '20 for 20' businesses who would like to sponsor us in return for advertising at our AGM/20 year celebration. Sponsorship will be based on company size, from micro to large.

We also have Hampshire Breastfeeding Counselling available to offer feeding support.
Please feel free to drop in to weigh your baby or to also stay for a hot drink and chat with other parents.

Our volunteers have played an incredible role in supporting families over the past year. They are the beating and we want to say to them this .

Last week we had the absolute pleasure of seeing our friend and previous volunteer, Louise, who left Basingstoke for a sunny Scotland pre- covid. We obviously made an impact on Louise as she went in search of her new Local Home-Start to volunteer for and landed upon Home-Start Oban and Lorn.

We were thrilled when Louise suggested she bring Hannah, the manager of HS Lorn, to visit us. There's nothing we like more than sharing what we've been upto, what's worked well and what hasn't. We also learnt so much from lovely Hannah, with her ambition and ideas. HS Lorn are at the beginning of an exciting new project to open a Family Centre in Oban and Jools will be following their ups and downs with interest and maybe adding a Basingstoke Family Centre to the HS Basingstokes wish list!

Our outdoor group Little Wellies is on tomorrow at Fairfields Primary School in Basingstoke. We will reading The Hungry Caterpillar and doing some little activities based on it. Of course our mud kitchen will be open and there will be lots of time to dig and explore in safe surroundings.

We have puddle suits and wellies for children to borrow should anyone needed it.
