PQA believes in inspiring and rewarding our students, so we have partnered with RSL, providers of innovative, contemporary qualifications for the Creative Industries. Our qualifications are open to PQA students at no additional cost to you. In addition to technical skills, students will develop presentation and communication skills, and increased confidence.

RSL PQA Awards provide a flexible progression route for PQA students. They demonstrate and celebrate a student’s hard work and progress in developing techniques necessary to move up to higher grades.

RSL PQA qualifications are one of the ways that PQA helps your child develop skills and techniques valuable to Higher Education courses in Drama 🎭, Musical Theatre 🎶 or Film & Television 🎬.

🌟 Summer School Part 1 🌟
We are still buzzing from all the fun we had this week. Our students gave an incredible performance yesterday. Anyone would think they had been rehearsing weeks, not just 5 days. We are extremely proud of each and every one of you 💙

A MASSIVE well done to all the students that came to our summer school - A musical in a week, Mary Poppins ... What an achievement. The show was so great, We hope you are all very proud of yourselves because we definitely are!!

Our 🎥Film and T.V🎥 module at PQA gives our students an excellent introduction to film-making and screen acting.🎭

Students will create, film, and screen their films at local cinemas and perhaps walk the red carpet at film festivals.💛🖤 Our students will get to mirror how a professional filming set would run! 👏

🥰During their time at PQA the students can take on many different roles from behind the camera, such as: script writing 📝, directing, camera operator 🎥, sound 🎧, lighting, hair and makeup, costume design and of course acting 🎭🎬

This module enhances film making skills, confidence and develops skills for every day life with teamwork, communication and problem solving.

Poppets Yay!

Let's talk PQA Poppets...

Poppets is our performing arts experience for four and five-year-olds. These 90-minute sessions are designed to encourage young children to develop performance and communication skills as they create and explore stories, songs, characters and situations through the use of acting, movement, music, voice, dance, and teamwork.

At PQA Bath, we go beyond just learning industry skills.

Our young performers and filmmakers develop life skills that can be used even after they’ve left our weekend performing arts academies.

At PQA Bath we are all extremely saddened and horrified by the incident at a children’s summer activity in Southport. We are thinking of all of those who have been effected 🤍

With our own Summer School coming up, we would like to reach out to parents and caregivers, to remind you of the procedures we have in place to keep your children safe.

✅We do not allow anybody on site during the summer school, including parents and siblings. This provides a level of safety for all children. We ask that you support us in this and do not request to remain on site with your child as this is a potential safeguarding risk for all the other children.

✅Where possible we will keep the doors locked so no one is able to enter the area where the children are. If this is not possible, doors will be monitored by a member of the team. If you arrive late or need to leave early for any reason, please contact the Principal by phone.

✅The children are monitored with an adult at all times, and age appropriate toilet procedures are in place.

✅ Our performance at the end of the week will now be ticketed/ a list of names obtained in advance to ensure only those invited are able to attend.

✅ All staff will be reminded of our lockdown procedure.

At PQA Bath, we take your children's safety very seriously, and we want to reassure you that we are keeping safeguarding at the forefront of our minds and our top priority.

Last Saturday our PM Green and Blue groups took part in their Monologue slam. We were very excited to welcome our guest judge . Robbie started at PQA many years ago as a blue group student. He is now a professional performer, travelling around the world performing on cruise ships. It was so lovely to welcome Robbie back.

We are so excited to be spending the week learning songs and routines themed on the musical and film, Mary Poppins. Everyone will make friends, learn new skills and at the end of the week, will perform a show to an audience of family and friends.

We had such a fun end of term session this week with the Poppets learning a dance alongside playing their favourite games...

They also did so well joining in with the rest of the AM academy to learn some of Emily's last dance!

It was an emotional day for many on Saturday as we bid farewell to Emily, with both academies learning an all group routine. There were tears, cake and lots of fun!

This week marks our last week of PQA for the term, we are looking forward to seeing everyone for a fun last session.
