100 years since Northern Ireland was born. We’ve been through a lot but we have a lot to celebrate and a wonderful future to look forward to. We all must remember there is more that unites us than divides.

Sad news that Dorothy Dunlop, our past Regional Chair of the Conservative Women’s Organisation in Northern Ireland and past Chair of the Northern Ireland Conservatives has died. Dorothy was elected to the Northern Ireland Assembly, as well as being the Deputy Lord Mayor and Councillor for the . She has four children and seven grandchildren. I will personally miss her as she was a wonderful person who always had time to chat and give me advice.

Around 50% of the population will go throughout menopause during their life. We should make the other 50% aware of it and how to be supportive.

Praying and thinking of Sir David Amess family at this difficult time. I was luck to have meet Sir David at conference a few years ago. What stayed with me was what a lovely kind gentleman he was. This country and the world is a darker place without him.

Like many others, we mourn the passing of our dear friend and former Secretary of State, James Brokenshire. James had amazing qualities: he was engaging, incisive, thoughtful, mild-mannered and immensely loyal. We valued his counsel, enjoyed our engagements and his great candour. James had a work ethic that was admired and an energy few could match. At 53, has has been taken far too early. Our deepest sympathy goes to Cathy and family. We are left all the poorer by this sad loss.

Really sorry to hear about passing away. James was always such a gentleman who was such a friend to Northern Ireland. Sending my thoughts and prayers for James family.
