Our older group will be loving life at the singing and pop party later ππ
This day last year we had a lovely evening at Belfast City hall planning the world down syndrome day celebrations. Sadly with lockdown we didn't get to celebrate as a big group in person. We look forward to meeting up again with all our friends. ππππ.
Our younger group enjoyed some fun with Sally from MOO Music. Thank you to Kids Together Belfast and the Big Lottery for funding the sessions.
We enjoyed some fitness with Cormac today. He ran two amazing classes for our group. Massive thanks to Kids Together Belfast and the Big lottery fund for funding the session.
Our children enjoyed some moo music zoom sessions this morning. Thank you Sally. These sessions are funded by the Big lottery fund through kids together belfast. ππ
We had a lovely chat today with Cormac who will be providing the group with fitness sessions. Cormac will be providing 2 sessions per week. We can't wait to get started ππ
World Down syndrome Day 2021ππ
We have had confirmation that Belfast City hall will illuminate yellow and blue on the 21st March for World Down Syndrome day. We are absolutely delighted. Massive thank you to Daniel Baker who has been phenomenal support and an advocate for our group and our families. We know World down syndrome day holds a special place in Daniel's heart and we will be thinking of his Mum and beautiful brother. Let's celebrate our amazing children, adults and young people. Also remembering our beautiful Angels. ππ Cllr Daniel Baker Belfast City Council
ππROCK YOUR SOCKS FOR WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY ππ
Next month is World Down Syndrome day. This day is celebrated globally each year, creating awareness, sharing love and positivity. World down syndrome is celebrated each year on the 21st March. People who have Down syndrome are born with 3 copies of the 21st chromosome. This is why we celebrate on the 21st day of the 3rd month. We as a group shall be celebrating as always with our fabulous children and young people. We will be wearing yellow and blue and rocking our most colourful odd socks.
We would love all our friends and family to join us. So rock your socks for our amazing families and tag us in you pics. πππππ
Tonight our youth group and siblings took part in a fun game of bingo. This was a much needed social get together with friends. Lots of fun and laughs. Thank you to our amazing organisers and bingo callers Joanne and cora rose. ππ Families downs
