✨ A great night had by all! 🥂✨ Was just the distraction I needed… Bumped into the fab team there from 🫶 Georgina looking beautiful 😍 and got chatting to the lovely 🫶 It’s a small world! 🌍✨

✨ ✨EDIT✨ I’ve had a couple questions since posting this… it could end up a multi part thing lol ✨✨✨✨

Who am I? ✨What do I do? ✨Why do I do it?
✨First of all…. Welcome to all newbies to the page on Facebook or Instagram✨👏
✨I’m Debbie / Debs / Deborah / Mum / Mama… depends who I’m speaking to 😅 I’m a 40 year old mum of three. My house is busy with one of my boys coming 14 and the other one is two 🫠🫠 my baby girl was born thirteen weeks ago and is still in hospital. (The photo I’ve used is a year old lol 😝)…I may talk about this from time to time on my pages or stories. It’s been a crazy time but I know we aren’t alone in dealing with this.
✨I’m passionate about women’s health, men’s health, children’s health, holistics, beauty, mental health, relaxation & wellbeing. I adore people but put me in an isolated location to recharge every so often or my brain wants to explode. Think nothing and no one for miles. Love it! 😊 There is therapy in nature of all kinds. I was born in South Africa and am normally freezing at all times. Give me heat and I’m happy. I like good food 🥘 My timetable generally revolves around the kids. When I was setting up my holistic therapy and beauty business but still working ‘a normal job’ my son was diagnosed with ASD. I totally rearranged my life and work to suit a new timetable and to concentrate on what I actually enjoyed doing… holistics. I could be more present at home and also keep adding to the therapies I had on offer. I gave my son treatments from time to time… now he’s too cool 😎
✨I kept adding to the menu of therapies through the years because I wanted to 😅 I don’t know how else to say it… I just enjoy them full stop. I blend stuff together now so no two treatments will be the same for people. The game plan can also change on the day someone comes for their treatment if they tell me they feel a certain way or they haven’t slept well or they are sore etc. It’s good to have built up a bit of experience with knowing what works well✨
✨When anyone comes to me for treatments and discusses anything to do with children being diagnosed with Autism, or PTSD or a lack of services for parents and individuals I totally get it. I’ve come through some stuff and at the time I personally found that therapies helped me a great deal. My own personal experiences have only added to what I can offer and that’s important. D xx

✨The beauty side of my business is quiet at the minute… I love and feel that when a person feels like they are looking well their inner glow shines bright as well ✨ Is it time to bring beauty back sometime soon? We’ll see 🌸🌸🌸

👶🩷Week 9… You’re still in the hospital 🩷👶 Can’t wait to have you home 🩷 To anyone who has travelled home while their baby receives care in the icu or hdu or Neo natal… it’s very weird isn’t it? We know she’s in the right place but it’s definitely a strange feeling. Ted has enjoyed meeting ‘the baby in the phone’ 😅 and terrorising the hospital canteen.

I can keep adding to the girly corner and have you home asap! Xx The mini baby moments we’ve had seem to be a hit 👶😅🩷 Ninth week and counting… you’ve done so well!

Thanks again to everyone who has contacted me with support and care. It means a lot 🩷 Many thanks for work enquiries too. I’ll keep in touch and let you know when I’m back to work.

🦋 Long post alert 🦋 continued in comments and I’ll try post video to comments… copied from a facebook post ….

How many of us really believe in signs? Or strange co-incidences? I’ve attached some screenshots and pictures to show the dates I began to notice something that kept happening during the Summer and that carried on from time to time after that.

Bear in mind going by dates I was pregnant with baby Sophia middle of July & I found out middle of August (ish).

🦋 The Butterfly 🦋

Since around the end of July I noticed Butterflies a lot more than normal. I began to photograph them when I could. Outside a cafe, in the house, in my workspace, on the doorstep, on the way to Tescos on the footpath. I was gifted a vase and when I cleaned the inside of it a butterfly fell out. My son Rowan said he had seen one outside his window etc etc… there were so many examples around that time. I had an inkling I was pregnant one day out in the work cabin when one landed on my arm. My own inner thoughts were ‘girl’. I didn’t really think any more of it until maybe another random spotting of one would remind me of the previous cluster of activity and how unusual it was.

Baby Sophia arrived early and when my water broke I was admitted to hospital. I ended up on a ward beside a lovely girl called Summer and we ended up talking. I didn’t recall straight away.. it was only afterwards when I saw her again in a corridor at a visiting time that I remembered sitting next to her at in the waiting room in the children’s hospital at Christmas time. Home alone was on the TV in the waiting area and the kids were running about and Rowan was beside me waiting to hear if he would have to stay or not that night. Do you remember? 🙈🤣 I thought it mad that we end up on a ward beside each other lol

I had an emergency section three days after I was admitted to hospital and Sophia needed an operation after she was born. One night I was feeling particularly low and made my way down to ICU slowly. Something told me to turn my head on the way down the corridor. I stared at the floor a lot during the first walk downs on my own because I wasn’t too steady on my feet. I stopped myself and turned my head to look. An entire wall full of painted butterflies. 🦋 I gasped a bit. A nurse asked me was I ok. I said yes but probably looked a bit mental just standing gawping mouth open at a wall of artwork that’s bright and cheerful 🦋 I just remembered the same feeling I’d had when the feeling of ‘girl’ had come to my mind before.

I asked my parents to bring me some books and when my mum was hunting out books she grabbed a book and a load of my old postcards and some photos of my old artwork fell out. She brought those postcards and photos to me in the hospital… I’ve attached a pic of the brown butterfly which was drawn by me as part of an A Level art project many years ago 🦋 again I just stared at it 😅 I hadn’t seen that photograph or any of that old artwork for years. Decades in fact 🫣

I was still admitted to hospital on Mother’s Day and baby Sophia was still in ICU (she has since moved to HDU). They handed out some goody bags for all the mums which I honestly thought was the most thoughtful gesture and I’m so thankful to them. I’ve attached pictures of the bookmark and the actual card itself which when I opened it had Sophia’s footprints inside… in the shape of a 🦋

The word Faith continually arrived my way recently as well. Especially the day Sophia was born. I asked her to help me with her name and I believe she did. Along with a nurse in theatre who told me to have faith in myself.

Another strange co incidence was sitting beside Ted, Rowan, Mum & Dad in the same cafe I noticed a ton of butterflies … a woman came over and handed me hand knitted tiny fidget toys very similar to the octopus 🐙 knits that they use in ICU within the incubators. These are to try and stop them pulling at lines and tubes. I thought it was a lovely thoughtful incredibly random thing at the time.

Well done if you made it this far and Thankyou for all the well wishes Miss Sophia has started tiny feeds now and has gained a little weight and is doing well. She may be in hospital for a while but she’s a strong little girl 🐙🦋🥰

Weighing four whole pounds 👶

👶 This tiny but mighty girl arrived early & is still receiving amazing care in ICU after also having an operation the day after she was born. We are both still in hospital. It’s been quite a journey. She is already showing a strong personality by refusing to wear mitts and wanting to grab at many leads attached to her and the incubator home she currently lives in 👶

We know there’s another journey ahead but her willpower will no doubt carry her through. Proud to be your mum Sophia 💖💘💝
