Martin Dene Tennis Club - Official Site is so pleased to announce that Head Coach Sophia Thomas was voted Best Development Coach at the Kent Lawn Tennis Association Awards last night. Well done Sophia.

Very excited to be attending the LTA Awards tonight. Martin Dene Tennis Club and Head Coach Sophia Thomas are nominated for two awards. Fingers crossed.

As we get ready to welcome 2024 I wanted to thank all the volunteers for helping to run the club so successfully this past year and to wish every success to the team players representing the club in the North Kent and Kent leagues.

A special mention also goes out to all those (young and old) who attend our coaching and social play sessions week in, week out and often in the rain, wind and cold!

The club will be open from 1pm on New Year’s Day for social play and drinks in the bar. All members (adult and junior) are very welcome and do feel free to bring a friend (no visitor fees).

We have just opened bookings for the summer camp 2023.
Here are the details:

Monday - Friday
9am - 3pm
Ages 4 - 16

£110 for the week (discount available)
£30 per day

Children will need to bring a packed lunch, snack, and water bottle.

We open the bar during lunchtime selling crisps, KitKat, or ice cream all for £1 each. We ask that payment for this is coins on the day.

Come along to our 2021 Christmas Party. All the details are in the poster.

What a wonderful Halloween party we hosted on Saturday. Our first social event in a very long time. We counted over 80 members and guests attending and there were lots of smiles when people were leaving. Thanks must go to the ladies tennis section for decorating (and cleaning up the next day!) the club and providing the most amazing buffet. Well done to Georgina for running the bar for the whole evening. The music was fabulous and the fancy dress even better. Look out for the date of the Christmas Party and we’ll do it all again.

Its a battle of the sexes as Martin Dene's two top ranked male players taken on our two top ranked female players!

The bar has been fully stocked, so take advantage of the cheap prices (bottled beer £2.50 and wine/ prosecco £3)

Family friendly evening- ALL WELCOME!

For the members, please feel free to bring tennis rackets to play after. Non-members feel free to play but there will be a £5 visitor fee for tennis play. To just watch the exhibition match there is no visitor fee required! Just sit back and watch the high standard of tennis!
