Have you heard of Quids in!? 🤔 It’s a magazine launched to help people on low incomes find ways to make their money go further. They provide interesting and enjoyable content and advice for those struggling with their finances, or people who have been targeted by loan sharks, high interest lenders and rogue traders. You can read lots of articles online including this one 👇 about meal deals
Craving killer deals? - Quids in! Magazine Know which websites to use to uncover the best and latest meal deals, from supermarkets to restaurants and cafés
You may have seen this article on the Birmingham Live website today. Please be aware it’s all part of an ongoing consultation and is in no way a completed project or planning proposals. The ideas are based on feedback members of the community shared with us during a consultation we, Mondelez and a stakeholder group (made up of reps from local community groups, organisations and businesses) held last year. All the partners are very much open to different ideas you may have. Please share your feedback and ideas here https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Q6HQC2G

Over the last week, we’ve had some queries about the former Methodist Church Hall on Cob Lane. The Hall came back into our management in 2021 and we’re pleased to share it’s been leased to a local community group - South Birmingham Muslim Community Association (SBMCA). We’ve been working with SBMCA since 2020 when they started out as a sports club supporting local children and families. SBMCA will be bringing a mix of community and faith-based activities to the Hall. You can read more at https://www.bvt.org.uk/news-and-events/former-church-hall-given-new-lease-of-life/

Two years ago, Severn Trent donated 600 trees to Weoley Hill Park to create a tiny forest 🥰 Severn Trent’s Forest Ranger visited the park this week and we’re pleased to share that the trees are looking really well and are starting to form a dense forest that will be a haven for wildlife. The fencing around the tiny forest has now been removed as it’s no longer needed. Our Story
We are a charity and community-based housing organisation working in Birmingham and Shropshire whose mission is creating and sustaining communities where people can thrive.
We are inspired by the values of our social reformer founder George Cadbury who valued fairness and integrity. He was brave and innovative, and worked not in isolation but in partnership with others to help the people of Birmingham to thrive.
Our Corporate Plan is inspired by these values yet influenced from what we have learnt from listening to residents, staff, partners and civic leaders and understanding the changes that we see around us regionally and nationally.
We want people to thrive and reach their full potential and we are determined to build a strong organisation, driven by our values, to achieve this. We will achieve our mission through a number of distinct aims, which will be well planned and focused.
