Over the last week, we’ve had some queries about the former Methodist Church Hall on Cob Lane. The Hall came back into our management in 2021 and we’re pleased to share it’s been leased to a local community group - South Birmingham Muslim Community Association (SBMCA). We’ve been working with SBMCA since 2020 when they started out as a sports club supporting local children and families. Two years ago, Severn Trent donated 600 trees to Weoley Hill Park to create a tiny forest 🥰 Severn Trent’s Forest Ranger visited the park this week and we’re pleased to share that the trees are looking really well and are starting to form a dense forest that will be a haven for wildlife. The fencing around the tiny forest has now been removed as it’s no longer needed. UPDATE 📣 The asbestos has now been removed.

We’ve been made aware that asbestos has been fly tipped in Weoley Parkway in Weoley Hill by the Fox Hill entrance. We’ve contacted a specialist team to remove it as soon as possible today. Thank you to the member of the public who reported this.
