BPI Dental Education & Training
The highly esteemed Dr Boota Singh Ubhi presents first-class dental education, mentoring and support in implantology and oral surgery.
Dr Daljeet Tamber recently attended the Soft Tissue Around Dental Implants course, presented by Dr Boota Singh Ubhi. Dr Tamber shares his experience:
“I wanted to improve my understanding of the importance of soft tissues when planning dental implant treatment, and learn how to manipulate the soft tissue if needed.
“Dr Ubhi’s course was well-structured, with content that was relevant to day-to-day dental implant therapy. I could implement the techniques demonstrated immediately in my own practice.
“I found the basic roll flaps to be most beneficial to me – it’s a simple technique with instant benefits.
“The hands-on aspect of the programme was prolonged, giving us multiple attempts to practice the skills we were being taught, which I found to be highly beneficial.
“Dr Ubhi was knowledgeable and approachable. He was happy to answer any questions and provided constant guidance throughout the hands-on segment.
“The ability to assess and manipulate soft tissues is an essential skill for anyone placing dental implants, and this programme teaches you all the fundamentals. My work has been impacted hugely.
“I’d definitely recommend this course to other dentists!”

“Best course I’ve done in a long time”
Dr Matthew Dunsmore shares some insight into the Soft Tissue Around Dental Implants from BPI Dental Education & Training, presented by Dr Boota Singh Ubhi:
“I knew soft tissue management was an area I needed to improve, so I Googled courses and this one from BPI Dental Education & Training looked the best.
“There was a perfect mix of theory and hands-on, so the content was very good. We covered more techniques than I expected but nothing was rushed. The videos demonstrating the techniques were clear, and the small groups size meant Boota could keep a close eye on what we were doing and give advice at every step.
“The hands-on was very useful – it has been carefully planned so we could get the most out of the pig heads. In most programmes, I find they show a technique and the participants practice it once. However, with Boota we would perform each technique multiple times – I think this made a substantial difference to how confident I would be treating patients back in my practice.
“The facilities were lovely. The botanic gardens were a nice backdrop – we could get some fresh air and a scenic walk on our breaks. The food was good and the group meal on Friday was excellent!
“I would say this was the best programme I’ve done in a long time. Boota is very knowledgeable and also approachable. He answered all my questions in detail and since the training finished, he’s always quick to respond to queries on the course WhatsApp group. The other members of the BPI Dental team also couldn’t have been more helpful.
“I would absolutely recommend this course to others, any dentist who places dental implants should attend.”

*ACT NOW and don't miss the Soft Tissue Around Dental Implants course*
June course is FULL, but limited spaces still remain for October!
About the course, Dr Andreas Charalampos, says:
“I’m currently doing an MSc in dental implantology. I wanted to gain more insight on soft tissue manipulation around implants, so I could provide better care for my patients.
“The course and its content were very good – very detailed and because we practised on pigs’ heads, it meant that everything was easy to understand.
“I thought the techniques for graft harvesting and tunnelling were very beneficial to me, as they’re the ones I’d used the most for my day-to-day implant patients.
“Working with Dr Boota Singh Ubhi was amazing, and so I’d 100% recommend the course to other dentists. I’m looking forward to attending the other courses that are provided, such as the Surgical Crown Lengthening Hands-on Course.”

Dr Lee Gemmell, who recently completed the Soft Tissue Around Dental Implants course and here comments on her experience:
“I am relatively new to the implant world, but realised how important management of the soft tissues is. What sets the event apart is the amount of hands-on experience you get, with Dr Ubhi checking and advising every step of the way.
“Dr Ubhi and his team organised a great programme, and you really feel looked after.
“This course has built on my skills and knowledge, and it has impacted on my work in two ways. Firstly, the way I assess new implant cases – I am much more aware of the soft tissues and what is achievable.
“And secondly, my confidence – I may not use all the techniques all of the time, but it is always nice to have techniques in your back pocket for certain situations.”

Dr Tanzeem Raees recently attended the Soft Tissue Around Dental Implants course, through BPI Dental Education & Training. Tanzeem shares some insight on his experience:
“I found the content of the course to be very interesting and informative – I learnt a lot!
“I particularly enjoyed the techniques for harvesting the soft tissue from the palate and the connective tissue grafting too. I found that these techniques covered real life dental issues, so everything that was demonstrated can be implemented into practice.
“The course has certainly impacted my work since – I can see myself performing more of these techniques in the future, to achieve better outcomes for my patients.
“I have mentioned this course to my friends and I believe some of them are looking into taking it themselves.
“Dr Ubhi has done a really fantastic job with this course – there aren’t many people in the UK running these sorts of courses the way he does!”

Dr Ashish Pandit, B.D.S, MSc (Implantology) from Smiles and More recently attended the Soft Tissue Around Dental Implants course, delivered by Dr Boota Singh Ubhi. Ashish shares his experience:
“I was motivated to attend this course because the soft tissues that provide support around an implant are equally as important as the implant itself.
“So, learning how to manipulate the soft tissues was important to me.
“I found the content of the course absolutely brilliant. We were provided with an insight into the various indications and contraindications for doing the procedure, so that was really helpful.
“The hands-on aspect was also really enjoyable – we were supported by Dr Ubhi throughout. We also had a tablet in front of each candidate, which was really useful because it displayed the same procedure that was being demonstrate by Dr Ubhi. This meant that you could work at your own pace.
“Since the course, wherever possible I try to implement the techniques shown into my day-to-day practice.
“The whole curriculum was well-designed and well-organised – the support staff were excellent and Dr Ubhi was as brilliant as ever.”

Dr Julian Caplan discusses the Soft Tissue Around Dental Implants course:
“I chose this programme as it provided hands-on teaching and was over 2 days. Boota also had the kind of background that suggested he would be a good teacher in this field. This did prove to be the case – he was a very charming and engaging lecturer. He was also non-intimidating and made you feel very comfortable to ask questions.
“The course content was very comprehensive. Being able to practise the techniques on a pig’s head was another benefit. The practicality of the course was its greatest advantage. Learning how to harvest connective tissue accurately was most useful for me.
“By the end of the course, I felt confident to carry out the procedures. I have performed some of the soft tissue grafting techniques in my own practice since and managed to successfully change the patient’s biotype from thin to thick. I have also changed the sutures I use to much finer ones for improved healing in my patients.
“I would 100% recommend this course. Boota is an excellent teacher and this was a great programme that allowed me to improve my techniques for better patient outcomes.”

Neeraj Agrawal, a dentist who completed our Soft Tissue Around Dental Implants course, says:
“I’ve been placing implants since 2006, but came to the realisation that I needed to increase my skills in soft tissue management. I’ve known Dr Boota Singh Ubhi for a long time. He’s very easy to talk to and I felt confident to ask any questions that I had.
“The course was good and covered a vast amount in great detail. It was taught and explained very well.
“The hands-on and theory elements were also well-arranged, with each practical following on from a related theory. The group size was good for discussion but not too small as to feel intimidating too.
“The training has given me a better understanding of how I approach cases and greater confidence in discussing potential soft tissue grafting with patients. It has also helped me diagnose cases more efficiently – I have already implemented some of the simpler techniques taught and found them to work well.
“I think clinicians with experience in implants or periodontology would benefit most from this training, but I believe the course is definitely worth attending!”

Dr Matt Lawler, Principal of Peelhouse Dental in Cheshire, comments on the Soft Tissue Around Dental Implants course he recently took with Dr Boota Singh Ubhi and BPI Dental Education & Training:
“I wanted to improve my skills and confidence in the field, specifically regarding soft tissue augmentation around implants. I knew Boota quite well and following a recommendation for his course on a social media forum, contacted him about the programme.
“I thought the course was perfect, with a good group size that was big enough to allow for lots of discussion and interaction. The content and structure were both excellent, particularly given the number of hands-on opportunities – the practical elements were repeated, which I preferred to other courses that tend to only give you one go at something.
“I also appreciated the didactic aspects and discussing Boota’s cases – there was a lot of information in there and it’s always good to see this from the lecturer.
“The course gave me the confidence to routinely use techniques I was previously not implementing. I thoroughly enjoyed the training and would highly recommend it to clinicians with experience in implants who are looking to learn advanced soft tissue techniques.”
Thanks Matt Lawler for the kind words!
Thank you to Eimear O’Connell for your kind words about the Soft Tissue Around Dental Implants course:
“I wanted to ensure I was achieving the best possible outcomes for my patients receiving dental implants, as we now know the stability and long-term success of an implant is closely linked to the quality of soft tissue around the abutment interface.
“I knew Boota Singh Ubhi would deliver a quality educational experience and there was indeed great discussion throughout with the tutors and other delegates. It also provided an ideal mix of lectures and hands-on teaching, with a small group of like-minded clinicians proving helpful. Afterwards we were advised about a microsurgical kit and given a discount as well.
“This is a wonderful course for any implant dentist wanting to fully understand how to achieve thickened and better-quality soft tissues around dental implants. Since the course I have been confident to use all the techniques taught, thanks to Boota and his team. A truly wonderful addition to my surgical skills!”

“The course was absolutely incredible – even better than I thought it was going to be. It covered topics in the perfect amount of detail, so you really understood what you were being taught. I found the practical elements particularly interesting, with the chance to practise techniques on the pig’s head. The content was delivered in such a way that everything linked together smoothly. This, combined with the hands-on, meant I had the confidence to use what I learned in practice straightaway. The programme was very well organised and Boota was a really good tutor – clearly very capable and experienced. His team from the practice were great too, really friendly and helpful."
Dr Oliver Brown from Damira Dental Studios Ltd reflects on the Soft Tissue Around Dental Implants course he took. He continues:
“I now feel much more confident to take on trickier cases, especially in the aesthetic zone. Of all the dental courses I’ve taken, this was one of the most well-organised and valuable. The schedule was really thought-out and there were very useful hand-outs, which have been great to look back on to refresh my knowledge. All round, it was a great course.”

Dr Julian Leiner-Parry from Alderley Edge Dental recently completed the Soft Tissue Around Dental Implants courses. He says:
“I had been offering implants for about 3 years and while I had completed comprehensive training courses, I wanted to become more comfortable with soft tissue grafting as a treatment option.
“After seeing the BPI Dental course on social media, the combination of theory and practical elements appealed to me, as did the focus on soft tissue specifically around implants because it was not too broad.
“The course was really good and I enjoyed covering all the techniques – both simple and complex. The programme was comprehensive and I felt that it covered everything it needed to. Boot’s style of teaching was really good. He was always open to questions and encouraged good discussions, plus he would provide one-to-one help and demonstrate the skills we were learning. The hands-on approach and group size were ideal.
“I would definitely recommend the Soft Tissue Around Dental Implants course to anyone with some implant experience who is looking to enhance their soft tissue management. It has given me a valuable added treatment option in practice.”

“I was looking for a training course to supplement previous education in soft tissue augmentation. I sought guidance from an experienced surgeon to gain confidence in improving the aesthetic outcome and long-term soft tissue stability – Boota had come very highly recommended.”
Paul Mulligan of Euston Place Dental Practice reflects on the Soft Tissue Around Dental Implants. He continues:
“I thought the course was very well organised and just the right size to allow periods of one-to-one tuition and promote a good group discussion. The combination of both theory and practical with case discussion over two days was an ideal format.
“Boota’s experience and expert guidance ensured that even the most challenging procedures were broken down into easy-to-follow steps.
“The course exceeded my expectations and has improved my treatment planning. The result is more predictable soft tissue outcomes. My aim is to be more proactive now in corrective measures to deal with hard and soft tissue deficiencies. Rather than accepting the compromised outcomes these cases present, I will strive for perfection.”

Dr Anoup Nandra talks about the Soft Tissue Around Dental Implants course he recently took with us":
“The course was really good and very well organised. The hands-on that followed the theoretical sessions was fantastic, allowing us to put what we had learnt into practice. In addition, the group size was perfect for one-to-one instruction from Boota when required, and the teaching style was also excellent. As we were just coming out of Covid restrictions, the environment felt very safe, which was appreciated.
“The support was excellent prior to, during and after the course, with members of team always around to help. Since the course, Boota has been responsive to any questions I have had.
“This training has hugely improved my management of soft tissue, enabled me to implement new techniques and, importantly, allowed me to better identify high-risk patients. I am 100% more confidence with the techniques covered as part of this programme. I would definitely recommend the Soft Tissue Around Dental Implants training course to other clinicians.”

“After an extensive online search, the course by BPI Dental Education & Training and Dr Boota Singh Ubhi stood out. All the feedback I received was excellent and it had a very well-structured curriculum, while it included everything I wished to learn and more.
“During the training, I felt that I learned something new at every moment. The delivery of the theory was very structured and there were very extensive practical sessions – which was exactly what I was hoping for. Boota was paying very close attention to every delegate, helping us with the practical sessions and correcting our mistakes. Overall, the course exceeded my expectations.
“After this training, I feel a lot more confident and knowledgeable – I am in a position to take on a wider range of cases. I would not hesitate to recommend this programme to anyone interested in soft tissue handling around implants.”
