Rowan Precision represented SME machinists, as part of this Made in the Midlands and Made in Yorkshire event at Westminster. The event gave us the opportunity to network with leading manufacturers from the heartland of British industry, talk to MPs and Peers and to lobby parliament for a minister for manufacturing.

New investment in the latest cleaning plant

Our recent accreditation to ISO13485 has enabled us to expand our customer base to include major medical equipment manufacturers. However, this expansion has come with the need for better cleaning processes, as the medical sector demands higher standards of cleanliness to ensure patient safety.

The new machine has significantly improved our ability to achieve the desired level of cleanliness required by medical sector customers. It's advanced systems and technologies remove even the smallest contaminants, ensuring parts are thoroughly cleaned and free from any potential residue.

Our new MecWash Model MWX300 M754 incorporates advanced automation features, reducing manual labour and increasing overall efficiency. With faster cycle times and improved throughput, our productivity has improved, allowing us to meet customer demands more effectively.

The automation features of the machine minimize the risk of human error, ensuring consistent and reliable results. The standardized cleaning cycles, coupled with the machine's intelligent monitoring, guarantee the same level of cleanliness is achieved every time, reducing the potential for contamination-related issues.

The new MecWash incorporates advanced data logging and documentation capabilities. This technology enables us to maintain detailed records of the cleaning process, providing accurate traceability for our medical sector customers. This enhances our compliance with ISO13485 and instills confidence in our customers regarding the cleanliness of our parts.

The MecWash Model MWX300 M754 is a cutting-edge cleaning machine designed to achieve the highest standard of cleanliness in precision parts. This machine utilises advanced technology and innovative features such as ultrasonics, dedicated jetting and hot air/vacuum drying deliver exceptional results.

The new investment in the latest MecWash Model MWX300 M754 cleaning plant at Rowan Precision has proven to be a significant step forward. This cutting-edge machine has allowed us to meet the higher cleanliness standards required by our medical sector customers following our accreditation to ISO13485.

Its advanced technology and automation features have not only improved our cleaning performance but also increased efficiency and reduced the risk of human error. The improved traceability it offers has further enhanced customer confidence in our products.

25 year service for Quality Engineer Tracey
We recently celebrated the long service of our key Quality Engineer Tracey Child, who has completed 25 years of service for Rowan Precision Ltd.
Starting in the assembly section of the company in 1997 Tracey has performed many roles including working with goods inwards, moving to an inspection role which she has performed for nearly 20 years.
Having gained an NVQ qualification in inspection, with expertise in both Keyence and Aberlink CMM tools, Tracey has long been a valued member of the team.
Now looking to expand her role within the company to assist with customer interface and production planning, Rowan have recruited an additional inspector to assist Tracey and maintain our quality-focussed approach to production and maintenance of our AS9100 procedures.
Employee retention has always been part of Rowan's ethos, which along with our Living Wage accreditation shows our commitment to our staff.
