Learn to use a sewing a machine and stitch together fabrics whilst making the perfect accessory for your Halloween costume. 🎃

£18.00 per person
Suitable for adults and children 10+ years old with an accompanying adult.

No sewing experience required.
Sewing Machines will be provided, along with all equipment and textiles required for the classes.

This is the first time our artwork has had a guard. The security presence was incredibly heavy this weekend. It was so strange and unsettling to see snipers on the roof of the building opposite

• More images from over the weekend. Photographed in during The Conservative Party conference - following and joining in with the protest March from The and closing at St John’s Square. Images feature the created by volunteers who created a blanket which was staged in a town centre window with embroidered squares of emotion. The shop was hard to reach during the conference due to heavy police presence as the shop forms part of the Winter Gardens which houses Blackpool’s new conference centre.

We asked local crafters to use textiles to share how the actions (and inaction) of the current government have affected them & highlight important issues.

The pieces cover a variety of topics. Squares relate to: NHS cuts, the Levelling Up agenda, fuel/food poverty, the hostile environment faced by refugees & the Windrush generation, health inequalities, lack of social care, pay gaps & state pension inequality. It’s a real mix.

We're planning to display the blanket until the end of the month.
