Looking for a BCP favour… I’m helping with a school play and need some mic stands. We gave all ours away when we lost our building. Does anyone have 2 or 3 I could borrow for a week in July?

The boy is on his way up to the Lake District today to walk 43 miles in ONE DAY to raise money for a ministry to exceptionally poor women in Uganda. So proud of him!!!

Just heard a prayer, that was uttered by a British spitfire pilot just after taking off for the first time, to fight the Battle of Britain. ‘It’s going to be busy day dear Lord. If I forget You, please don’t forget me. This will be a day’.
I love that! It’s honest. It’s real. And I feel God would understand and respond today if you find yourself praying a similar prayer.

A 7 year old girl just gave her heart to Jesus for the first time. She was asked what she would like for Christmas if she could have ANYTHING.

My baby doll has made Christmas Jumpers cookies and rudolf faces for ‘The Bunker’ tonight - DISCOVER:church’s youth group. That plus a Christmassy lounge, christmas music , Christmas IQ test, pizza and coke …makes for a special night tonight.

This is my friend John from Pakistan. He lives in a very poor village and specifically cares for widows and orphans. They have almost no food unless he feeds them. No one helps him. He works full time as a cleaner for $90 a month. He pastors and teaches them. Right now he is buying Bibles for the widows from his own income. They’ve never had one. It will cost $300 to buy one for each of them. They desperately want one. I’ve offered to find 50% of the cost if he can raise the other 50%. If you want to help to buy these bibles - God bless you! For those who missed the singing of happy birthday and the speech that followed ….I want to thank all of you for making the time to come over this afternoon. And thank you for the gifts and cards. I don’t take it lightly but genuinely appreciate you all as friends and family 🙂
I hope you had a good time! I didn’t manage to get around all of you… or at least not for more than a few seconds…. a minute or two….but it was a pleasure to host you.
A few months back - I could have died… but thank God - I didn’t. That’ll make you grateful you’ve reached 50! But it’s not just about how many years are on the clock.. it’s about the people and the God that’s you share it with - and YOU are those people. I spend very little time with most of you. What can I say - life is busy and sometimes maybe my priorities are off.. but don’t, please, get the impression that you are not loved and appreciated by me because you are!
Finally - just want to say that family is so important; I wish Elaine had been there today. I wish my Grandparents had been there today… and other members of my beloved family around the country and the world …but at the same time - I’m so grateful for Jesus. If you didn’t know it - God the Father loves you so much. And he sent His only Son to die for you; to die for love. You only have to say yes to Him.
Again - thank you so much for giving up your Saturday afternoon. I love you and thank God for you.

Prayer for the Israel situation

DISCOVER:church - we will NOT have a 10:30 service tomorrow morning (Oct 1st) - but will have a baptismal at 1:30 at BH1 Elim on Curzon road.

1:30 this Sunday (1st October) - a bring and share lunch followed by a child and young people rich baptismal service. Taking place ate BH1 Elim Curzon road springbourne.
NO 10:30 SERVICE AT ST ANDREWS PARISH CENTRE THIS WEEK.

My two favourite moments at church this morning. EVERY part was so good…. but because of my attachement to these particular people and what they spoke / sang about and how brave and trusting they were - my heart is particularly full!
