We've been working with students on the importance of self love. They've been making pots and little hearts and counting the ways they feel love for themselves and rewarding themselves with a little heart in their pot each time they do. It's amazing to see it in action and the power it has.

SUMMER HOLIDAYS WORKSHOPS ONLY A FEW SPACES LEFT !! 🧿🧿🧿
Using proven psychological and mindfulness tools and techniques, these sessions will give the children valuable groundwork to build their self-confidence, self-esteem and resilience, as well as manage negative emotions such stress, anxiety and anger. We teach the children their emotional intelligence and how self-care can build their confidence and well-being.
Sessions will vary, but the kind of topics we cover are listed below:
* Understanding yourself and others through colour therapy
* How to build your self-esteem and self-respect through emotional intelligence
* Empathy / friendships and how we have different learning styles
* Self-belief & motivation with positive outlook and kind words to yourself and others
* Stress and anxiety with skills to re-frame to positive and express emotions. TALK
* Bullying and peer pressure to understand third perception and not taken personally
* Developing confidence with the circle of excellence / Proud Journal of achievements and gratitude
* Technology and how it effects our brains with scientific facts on how our emotions adjust
* Resilience & re-framing with powerful tools and techniques
* How we adjust to change and to embrace the unknown without manifesting
* How healthy eating and sleeping helps with well-being and our brain performance
* Reflect & recap what you have become stronger in with practising mindfulness and emotional intelligence - light bulb moment!
Our activities are arts and crafts, cooking , Lego , outdoor games, bubbles and chalk drawing , planting, breathing techniques, meditation and journals ! We also have an amazing sensory room for our meditation practice !
Please bring a packed lunch, water bottle, sun cream and a towel for water games (weather dependent)

The session will run at The Bridge (Access Dorset), Littledown, Bournemouth, BH7 7DX (opposite the main Littledown Centre, at the top of the car park), 09:30-15:00.

Time pressures, work and busy schedules can be exhausting and challenging when you are a parent. It can be hard to stay connected to your children, and communicate positively with your ex-partner, especially after a divorce or separation. Being a parent is an incredible experience, but it can also be stressful trying to juggle children with other priorities, especially when going through emotional and environmental changes. This can lead to conflict with your child’s other parent.
We are delighted to be offering a new Mindful and emotional intelligence Parenting workshop focusing on divorce, separation and effective co-parenting. This course will consist of 6 sessions for the child(ren) and 3 sessions for the parents and is fully funded by BCP Council.
What’s involved?
Child Sessions
The 6 sessions will be based on emotional intelligence and will revolve around emotions and experiences children typically have when going through divorce and separation, and will include:
• Understanding yourself and others through colour therapy
• How to build your self-esteem and self-respect
• Empathy / friendships and how we have different learning styles
• Self-belief & motivation with positive outlook and kind words to yourself and others
• Stress and anxiety with skills to re-frame to positive and express emotions
• Bullying and peer pressure to understand third perception and not taken personally
• Developing confidence with the circle of excellence / Proud Journal of achievements and gratitude
• Resilience & re-framing with powerful tools and techniques
• How we adjust to change and to embrace the unknown without manifesting
• How healthy eating and sleeping helps with well-being and our brain performance
• Talking about emotions felt through a divorce or separation
• How to understand and detach from negativity and arguments
• How to trust and express yourself emotionally
• Reflect & recap what you have become stronger in with practisingmindfulness and emotional intelligence
We do this while the children engage in arts and crafts, cookery, meditation, journalling and breathing techniques.
Parent Sessions
Our 3 Mindful Parenting sessions will introduce you to useful Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Mindfulness and Emotional Intelligence tools and techniques to improve communication with your ex-partner and your child, and build your child’s self confidence and self-esteem. Our workshop will help you to understand and recognise your triggers so that you can learn to pause and respond, rather than react towards your ex-partner and children, and will help you:
• Improve communication
• Have better relationships
• Gain an insight into different learning styles
• Reduce stress and anxiety by understanding the individuals’ triggers
• Understand worries and anxieties and how to deal with them
• Increase self-esteem and self-confidence
• Have stronger resilience and self-belief
• Deal with conflict and find a voice
• Become happier in your home environment
Parents who practice being mindful say that both they and their children feel happier, calmer, less stressed and healthier. This can lead to a more effective co-parenting experience.
When & Where?
Sessions for children will take place on a Tuesday 5:30-7pm for ages 5-11 and 7:15-8:45pm for ages 12-18. Our parent training will be on Saturdays10:30-12pm.

These workshops will be run by Mary Morrall from Universal Mindfulness.

Our Story
Our aim is to empower people to develop the appropriate emotional intelligence skills to fulfil their own potential.
We work primarily with children, whilst also supporting adults in various capacities such as teachers, parents and business managers. Using Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Mindfulness, we help individuals to understand their own emotions, manage stress, build internal resilience, develop good social relationships and strong self-confidence. Emotional intelligence (EQ), unlike IQ, can be learnt and includes self-regulation, empathy and resilience. Researchers have found that people with high EQ are more happy and successful as they cope better with the stresses and strains of everyday life.
We run after-school clubs in both private and state schools as well as holiday camps and one-to-one coaching for those who need it. We teach useful NLP and Mindfulness tools and techniques to help children be more positive, more resilient, to relax and be more thoughtful of others. We help them understand that they are unique and special in this world and they can ‘choose’ how they react to different situations. We discuss the effects of bullying and how people feel who are being bullied, and how the bully themselves is feeling. We also build up their self-esteem by teaching them to love themselves and be proud of their achievements.
In addition, we offer a variety of adult workshops and one-to-one sessions as EQ skills can be improved and developed throughout our lives. Our workshops aim to help individuals improve their communication skills, manage their stress triggers, cope with stress and anxiety, develop positive habits, increase empathy and live in the moment.
