We are toying with the idea of building a 7.25” Sandy River 2-4-2 Locomotive. But before we dive in we are wondering what interest there would be.

Being 1/3rd scale they produce substantial engines suitable comercial running. Also due to there size can easily be made to run on 10.25” with out looking out of place.

A couple of action shots taken today in the boiler shop, as work continues on our latest batch of boilers.

We are please to announce that we will be taking delivery of a part built Tinkerbell, sister engine to ‘Dragonfly’.

The engine was started by Dennis Halstead who drew a lot of inspiration from the late Jeff Stubs. Like it’s sister engine the workmanship is to a very high standard.

A little update to show progress on the latest engine being built in the workshop. Hopefully this Tink will be earning its keep soon with ‘The Billinghm Light Railway’

After a successful visit this morning from LRQA (Lloyds) and coating of paint, 3 more boiler are ready for dispatch to there eagerly awaiting new owners.

We had a visit to the foundry this afternoon, to collect the first set of Tinkerbell style cylinders off our new patterns. We’re really please with the out come.
