1st Blackmore Scout Group
This is the public page for the 1st Blackmore Scout Group based in the beautiful and historic villag
Would you believe it, The 2023 Fayre was almost 3 months ago, won't be long until the kids go back to school (stop cheering) and it's only 124 days until Christmas.
The Fayre Committee will be back in the not too distant future to announce how much was made for all our wonderful charities and village groups, and an announcement for a very special event at the end of October will be made soon.
In the meantime, the Autumn Walk is back! Why not dig out your walking boots and gently wander the (approx) 5 mile route which includes lunch around halfway along. My spies tell me it could very well be a hog roast with apple sauce and all the trimmings.
Organised by the 1st Blackmore Scout Group, it is a fun couple of hours, so why not register now. If you need any more encouragement, you may well end up passing one of our lovely village pubs on your way home. It would be rude not to pop in, just for a quick one.....
The whole group throughout the evening enjoyed firelighting, cooking and wide games!
Life skill for a six year old! He was invested as well. Congratulations young man. Leaders challenge and the whole group. Great District camp at Skeeens! Awful weather but we survived!
Great last night! Beavers made Xmas tress from recycling into origami trees! Cubs recycled tins and old Xmas decorations into Top hat decoration, we were surprised how engaged they all were!
Scouts learnt how to wire up fire works and display used at gigs for a 2 minute pyrotechnics display completing their science badge, team work, and much more. You could say the evening finished with a bang!!
Beavers, Cubs and Scouts doing their thing!
Just a few activities from the last weeks! Beavers, Cubs and Scouts!
A great walk through the forest, pulled pork, mulled wine and bread pudding!
Busy evening planting trees as part of the Queens Canopy! Both Cubs and Beavers.
Great evening!
