SQB GAMEDAY!

What an epic morning we had for our members to throw it all down together at our very first SQB Games! 🔥

The atmosphere was nothing short of amazing, and the event really highlighted the friendly vibe and awesome community we’ve been so proud to create. Thanks to everyone who attended and organised our first event!

Spoiler alert, we are looking to host our first Christmas Games Special so look out for more details on that one soon 💪

Introducing one of our Personal Trainers, Sarah! 💪

Sarah trained in dance and had a professional career for 12+ years, working in theatre, tv, music videos and tours. When she retired, she found herself at a loss. She started going to the gym and found the benefits not just to her physical but to her mental well-being, so she retrained to become a PT and group ex instructor and has previously worked at one of London’s top luxury gyms.

Movement has always been Sarah’s passion, and she is grateful to be doing what she loves and that she’s able to pass on her knowledge and skills!

“Fitness is for everyone. It becomes a lifestyle, it makes you feel good & it’s actually fun!”

As a professional dancer of stage and screen, Yvette has had a passion for exercise and fitness for many years. Her for fitness and dance has established her as a qualified personal trainer and class instructor, with a strong focus on fun, friendly, structured and motivational coaching and support for all clients!

Yvette’s coaching focuses on functional training where all goals can be achieved, whether it’s sports specific, rehabilitation or for that all important aesthetic desire!
She will be here to make sure you get through every workout feeling encouraged and motivated 🔥

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week 💙

Here at SQB we believe that mental health awareness is just as important as physical health, if not more.

One of the reasons why we advocate for regular, structured exercising is because of how beneficial it is for our mental health and general wellbeing.

We have made sure that our facility is a safe space for everyone. We want all of our members to feel comfortable and to just simply have a fun (and challenging!) workout with no judgements.

Everyone is welcome. That is the way it will always be, and we wouldn’t want it any other way 💙

KETTLEBELL SWING 💪

Here’s a quick showcase of the Kettlebell Swing, a great full-body exercise that uses explosive power to get your blood pumping and engages and strengthens your posterior chain 🔥

With proper form and correct momentum, the kettlebell swing is seen as one of the ultimate whole body exercises that is quick and low-impact, making it perfect for our group training classes!

MOTIVATION 💪

We can probably all agree that it can be difficult to find motivation at times!

Sometimes all it takes is to make small, attainable goals to start off with to make sure that the bigger goals can be met in a healthy way.

Whether it’s making sure that you hit your protein intake for the day, get that workout (shred 💪) done, tidy up that area in your home, all of these ‘little wins’ can do wonders for your mental health and can motivate you to take on the next goal without feeling overwhelmed.
