As we create this post thunderstorms are forecast for many parts of the UK. This seems as good a time as any to share this excellent photo of lightning over Rampion from a few years back. If the forecast is wrong, blame it on the weatherman. 😊

On Thursday we were so happy to welcome Newhaven FC Youth U13 Girls! They spoiled the Rampion team with some delightful tasty treats, thank you very much and had a look around the centre. We are very proud sponsors of this fantastic team, GO DOCKERS!

BIG NEWS! The installed capacity of offshore & onshore wind in the UK is now over 30GW, more than any other source of electricity generation! It took 26 years to install the first 15GW of wind power in the UK, but only 7 years to double that to today's milestone! The UK's onshore & offshore wind farms power 26 million homes a year & prevent 35 million tonnes of carbon emissions!

Local school children from Chailey, Seahaven Academy & Cardinal Newman Secondary Schools were rewarded for their hard work this year with a trip out to sea on a crew transfer vessel visiting Rampion, The World's Greatest Offshore Wind Farm™

Four pupils, Willow, Niall, Leo & Emma, have been on a week's work experience at Rampion Operations & Maintenance Base in Newhaven, helping out the team and learning the ropes on how the wind farm creates energy. They also joined the team at Rampion's Friendly Neighbourhood Wind Farm Visitor Centre™ where they came up with some excellent ideas for our social media, so watch this space!
