You being confident in English is NOT about your grammar, or your vocabulary, for that matter...

Then, what's the easiest way to get confident in English?

💥BELIEVING YOU ALREADY ARE!

Not easy I know, but with practice (and a little training of those brains of ours, we can do it 💪💪).

So, today is the day to stop with the "I can't because..." and start by replacing it with:

"I speak English eith confidence and get better every day"
OR
"I'm growing in confidence, every single day"

I've seen many new people joining me here on Instagram so I wanted to introduce myself...

🤓 I'm Hannah and I'm a language learner too 🤓

Some (interesting?) facts about me:

🌎 In 2014, I went to Honduras to live (and work) WITHOUT ANY SPANISH. That was 8 years ago. I fell in love with the language 🥰

💥 Before I turned 30, I decided to make BIG changes in my life (to improve low self esteem and anxiety) and can I am an enhanced (and happier) version of myself.

🇪🇸 I've been living in Spain for over 5 years 🥳 I've lived in the Basque Country, Extremadura and Andalucía. Last year, I travelled from Galicia along the coast to San Sebastián and then down alllll the way to Cartegena 🤩 🤩

🐷 I'm vegetarian. I made the decision when I was 15 years old and have only eaten meat around 2/3 since then (intentionally at least 🤣).

Things that are not for me (things I don't like):

🙅🏼‍♀️ Rigid rules and methods for learning. We are all individuals, we all need to find our perfect way of learning 😊

🙅🏼‍♀️ Competitive pressure. I don't know why, I just do like it. I like to encourage a mutually supportive environment, wherever I go!

🙅🏼‍♀️ Extreme sports like Sky diving or bungee jumping.

We're so lucky with English and Spanish, we have so many "real" friends. But here we need to pay attention:

**PRESTA ATENCIÓN:**

🚩 REALISE (darse cuenta)
= After studying for many years, I realised how long it takes to master English.
= I'm sorry, I only realised after you left!

🚩 RECORD
= I always record my classes, so I can watch them again later (grabar).
= We must record all the details of everyone who enters the building (registrarse).

🚩 INTRODUCE (presentar)
= Let me introduce you to her, I know you're going to get on great!
= To start, I'd like to introduce the first theme of the day.

1. What have you realised recently?

💪 Why you shouldn't give up... On your objectives!!

Sometimes it's easy to talk yourself out of it, right? The mind really likes to find excuses... Or is that just mine? 😜

🤏 Make a little time every day to move towards your English objectives... It'll be so worth it!! 💥💥

🌎Without, Spanish, I would never have had the incredible experiences I had in 2019 in Central America (pic taken in Bocas del Toro, Panamá, 2019) 🌎

With an intermediate level of Spanish (and a bit of confidence), I was able to:

👉 Really KNOW WHERE I WAS GOING (transport), without the stress of guessing (my usual travel style 🙈).
👉 Help others, have conversations with young people and SHARE with them about my own culture.
👉 IMPROVE EVEN MORE! During my trip, my confidence grew significantly.
👉TRY TYPICAL FOODS because I could ask whether they were vegetarian 🌿
👉 REALLY & DEEPLY CONNECT with people from that area of the world! In my opinion, you cannot truly experience a place, without connecting with the people.
