We start 2022 with a creative mojo in full swing & with that have been trying “new to me” techniques & mediums…..with the weather being a little less than pleasant outside, I’ve taken to the warmth of my craft room…& spent the last couple of evenings creating these gorgeous shell trinket dishes.

POST CHRISTMAS UPDATE: & a big thank you from the project- Here are some photos of the food distribution undertaken by Catherine & Mother's Union team in Kumi before Christmas……. The support was directly given to the most vulnerable people who were not able to get some food during the Christmas celebrations. The category of people who received the support include, the elderly, widows of the fallen reverends, disabled and child headed families.The items distributed include among others rice ,bananas, posho, beans, sugar and soap. The people who received the support were very grateful and thanked Mission Direct for support through the mother’s union.

CHRISTMAS UPDATE: just to keep you all updated, we have reached our target of 100 glass charms & have

1) sent half the monies to Uganda to support food packages for vulnerable families in kumi eastern Uganda..
&
2) with the second half of the monies staying local in our community to support a family needing a little Christmas lift…

A little Sunday morning reflection: so when & where it actually all started…..some would say it is when you create your first piece, but for me its always been there, it was probably when I picked up my first hammer as a small child, when my daddy thought me how to send home my first nail…to create in your mind & then bring it to life is one of life’s journeys treasures….It brings the moment to a level of perfect calm & stands time down….so peaceful, just priceless.

Starting with a true story: Being new to open water swimming starting back in October when the temperature went down to single figures, when getting out of the water, I struggled with my hands & with that struggled to do my robe zip up, so I created the zip tag which just gave me that little extra to grip….the zip tag not only functionally cool, they looked super cool & now we have where you want them to be, made them ICE cool…..& you can grab yours now all at the same price.
