This was the last little project before my hand op. I'm 7wks in and determined to physio myself back to greatness!

Another quality Parker Knoll wing back arm chair stripped back and reupholstered in beautiful thick Welsh blankets. The quantity of the blankets and the pattern matching was a nice challenge to have. However, mess up your cuts and it's ruined as there's no way of ordering more fabric. 😏

New foam supplied by and the beautifully tactile wood work revived by .repair.bristol

A family Parker Knoll rocker that is built to last but was just looking old a tired.
The detailed woodwork from Gary .repair.bristol transformed the wood frame from a dated dark stain to an updated blonde. New foam from and a Welsh blanket applied by me means this chair is good to rock for generations to come. 😊

When I'm asked to make a bespoke shade, there's always a concern that the fabric might not be suitable. However, Liberty is always a pleasure to work with.
This is off to its new country home in West Yorkshire.

This chair is a treasured possession but not enjoyed as the foam was yellow and crumbly and the wood was stained orange. Gary .repair.bristol worked his magic on the frame turning it from orange to a natural blonde, supplied the bull nose seat foam and I did the rest.

Another unique and beautiful silk sari lampshade made from a precious family possession that was lingering in a dark drawer. I took extra time over this as the fabric placement was important and there was no margin for error. Measure twice cut once and hand sew carefully. 👌🏻

My most recent transformation of a Laura Ashley arm chair. 🌺 This is the type of fabric choice that I love as it's soft velvet, full of colour and a bold pattern, resulting in a unique conversational piece of furniture to be pleased with. 👌🏻

That said, modern furniture is always blasted with staples that are a nuisance to remove, the foam gets in the way of the fixing points and velvet is unforgiving if you don't get it right the first time.

A beautiful danish chair with sprung cushions that needed recovering. The challenge was to close them up under tension without the zips on show. Proper job. 👌🏻

My latest business acquisition and a new team member. Meet Doris the Morris. 💙 🇬🇧

This industrial swivel chair was definitely a tip candidate before its rescue and restoration. Woodworm and dusty stained coverings all removed and resolved. Even the old foam had been munched!
Wood worm were blasted with potions, new foam and wadding were then covered in a stylish Osborne & Little fabric. Obviously tge lines had to be straight and matched. 🙄

So this family heirloom was quite a challenge for me.
The fabric is a weave by so there is no room for error on the cuts as the fabric will fray. The wings, inside back and arm cuts were tough enough but to have a geometric pattern with a stripe was just not fair!

The staple marked woodwork was made beautiful again by .repair.bristol

The finite details paid off and the owner of this lovely little piece, was very happy indeed.

This big ol' boy is so solid and heavy and is now restored to his former grandeur for many years to come.
Two layers of upholstery removed and fresh layers applied. Topped with a luxurious cut velvet.

Another lovely little sewing box that had been rescued from the attic and offered some care. A new luxurious lining and pin pad along with some wax and polish for the wood.

Originally this was a stain covered, red, ripped and rotting, skip find. For years it's been moved from one shed to another until finally I had to make a decision. Back to the skip or get on with it!!
So new webbing, buttoning, foam cushion and a splash of Osborne & Little fabric and I'm pleased with the end result.
Thanks goes to my Uncle for finding it and my Mum for ripping out all the nasties.

A lampshade made from washed and recycled coffee bean sacks. I thought this might look good in a coffee shop.

Starting with the AFTER shot and swiping for the process. Peeling back the layers of time is the interesting bit in upholstery. This little family chair is now dust free and fresh. Even the legs had a wax treatment. 😉

Obviously I would notice these amazing fabrics. £140 pm for us in the UK.

So this big fella paid a visit to the armchair spa this week. He needed a completely new seating deck and a bit of a wax and polish.

So this retro style sofa bed was free to collect as it was very tired, the foam had perished and the brown boucle fabric was worn through. I stripped it back to its solid teak frame and rebuilt it. It's now being thoroughly tested in a uni home.

A cute bedroom chair, stripped of its dusty green draylon cover and tattered tassels. Recovered in a plush, modern, zebra striped velvet and black wool piping. Hot to trot!

A really lovely antique family piece that just needed some timely attention for modern day living. I need to get on with the house refurb now.....

Six garden chairs saved from landfill and ready for the garden.
The original cover was supposed to be a yacht standard weather resistant fabric but it was actually a standard vinyl that had perished in the sun.
The fixed covers were a challenge to remove and replace but with a bit of imagination and an easy going client, 12 box cushions fixed with loop tape and the chairs are back out. ⚘️🌞
