✨Stress and Weight Loss✨

Stress can cause a rise in cortisol, when this hormone is high it can stop our body’s progression in a weight loss or fat loss situation.

Finding something you enjoy to keep your cortisol low or to lower it on a bad day will help massively. Whether this is a relaxing bath, a pamper, going for a walk or going to the gym!

Lately I have had a fixation on burgers. This for me is normal and then shortly I will get bored and move onto something else.

But I sat there and thought how can I enjoy a burger without the additional calories, but also getting my protein and fibre in.

So here are my 3 ways to enjoy a burger but also keeping the calories low, hitting that protein and the fibre 🍔

I love watching these moms get strong whilst being able to bond with their babies, but watching the babies grow and learn every week is truly amazing!

We have some toddlers on now and due to the summer holidays school age children, they watch what the mama’s are doing and copy 🥰

They are watching you, you are inspiring them to stay fit and healthy and they are looking up to you. KEEP SMASHING IT 💪🏽

✨Comfort Zone = Playing It Safe✨

When we sit in our comfort zones it can look like you’re playing it safe or worried about failing. We all have to fail in order to grow. When we fail we learn from the mistakes and we then learn to adapt.

A comfort zone is there to be pushed, it’s there to keep us safe, but success is surrounded by risks and failures.

This is what makes us successful 👏🏽

✨My New Favourite!✨

Such a simple, quick dinner or lunch.

Packet of rice or protein noodles, packet of stir fry veg, either cooked or uncooked salmon!

Cooke the veg first; then the noodles whilst the salmon is cooking in foil in the airfryer. 5-10 minutes later it’s ready!

Quick and easy and packed full of protein 💪🏽

✨Motivate Each Other✨

Going to the gym with a partner or even a friend can help us in the short and long term.

You can motivate each other, you are less likely to cancel as you feel bad for letting that person down, you get to spend time with someone you care about and get on with, and you can help with each others form also!

I always find if I workout with someone it motivates me more and I am less likely to give up if it’s a struggle or I’m not feeling it.

🎉Go Mama Go Turns 1!🎉

I cannot believe I am even writing this! I knew there was a gap in the market and poor Bromsgrove had no services like it so I knew what to do 😊

We started off in Tardebigge whilst I was heavily pregnant with Abel. I had 1 class each and they went ok but the location didn’t work.

This is when I found Rachel and Tim, and despite everything. I owe them so much! I moved all the classes to Bromsgrove and it has thrived since!

A huge thank you to Rachel and Tim at TR Fitness that have accepted me like a friend and like family and making my dream become reality 💜

Thank you to all my mamas and their babies for making this happen. Thank you to my client who has become practically become my manager, advisor and disciplinarian (you know who you are 😉)!

And a huge thank you to Reece, without you this wouldn’t be happening. Looking after the boys, picking me up when I’m down, telling me to stop overthinking, telling me off when I believe others who try to run me down. I now know I can and I will because of you 🩵🧡

It has been a pleasure to have both on my classes from the first class 😍

Not only are they on my classes, she helps me with our moms community Facebook group and WhatsApp group and has become a good friend. Her daughter is also my little dancing queen and sass pot in the classes.

We dance, she tells me to shh or throws balls at me but I miss her when she isn’t there ❤️

✨Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis✨

Did you know that your everyday activities are better for your weightloss than your workouts?

Workouts are great to grow your muscles, get stronger and to get lean. But doing everyday activities such as walking, cleaning and gardening will allow the body to lose fat!

If you are often sat down a lot during the day and want to change, get up, walk, take the stairs not the lift, hoover, clean, do the gardening and you will start to notice a difference in your energy levels and your weightloss journey 💪🏽

Due to it being summer holidays, I know a lot of groups tend to stop running, however I am not as so many of my Mama’s wanted me to continue due to lack of groups.

I am pretty flexible with holidays for this block but I’m having to work on a first come first serve basis for spots to jump on other classes.

✨Protein Baked Pancakes✨

A new favourite of mine when I have time to do some meal prep or breakfast.

These warm up so nicely the day after. You can add anything you want, I’ve made it with blueberries, bananas, strawberries, white chocolate and peanut butter and it all works 🥞

✨Quick Breakfast!✨

I don’t buy smoked salmon often but at the moment my fixation is smoked salmon so here we are 😂

Protein bagel, smoked salmon, egg patty, spinach and avocado smash🥑

You can meal prep these for 3 days also and just keep them in the fridge if you need a quick breakfast to take to work to get some extra 💤 in the morning ✌🏼

I am also one of these people who doubt myself regularly, and tell myself I can’t!

Now I understand I can do it, I just have to dig deep and push! If I still believe I can’t I look back at why I started, I look at my boys who I will be able to chase and play with as they get older, I look at Frankie being proud of me for being a strong Mom! Then I can 💪🏽

✨Weight Loss Journey Update!✨

These past 8 weeks definitely didn’t start how I wanted it too 😔

Due to me becoming dairy intolerant, I started getting major anxiety with food, I would overthink my meals and Reece would have to step in to help just so I would eat. It was horrible, I was skipping meals and my energy levels plummeted!

Naturally I lost a little bit of weight till Reece completely took over so I didn’t have to think about what to eat but he knew my goals plus knew the food I liked.

This helped majorly and I feel I’m back on track!

I have fallen out of love with strength training but I know it’ll come back and going to force myself this week, however I have got back into being on the spin bike. I’m LOVING it and my old fracture is going from strength to strength 🚴

Hopefully I can get back on track and continue to lose the weight and get strong 💪🏽
