He may be gone, but Alan is certainly not forgotten.
A year ago, we lost our friend and colleague Alan Bond. He was a big part of Cambridge Junction life. We still think and talk about him often. If you have been in the J2 foyer this year, you may have noticed the plaque we had installed in memory of Alan. We will take some time this week to remember him, his hard work and dedication, his friendship, and his workplace shenanigans.

On this we're looking back at the awesome films from the Total Arts Film Festival, Big Trouble, Little Pictures.

These incredible films really showcase the talent and creativity of the amazing young people we have had the pleasure of working with over the last year.

Fresh from supporting Jack Whitehall on his 2023 UK arena tour, comedian Lloyd Griffith is back with a brand new show Baroque and Roll.

It’s a big year for Lloyd, he’s turning 40 and with it, the impending midlife crisis – or ‘renaissance’ as he’s insisting it’s called; complete with body hair removal, head hair additions, teeth whitening and obviously the obligatory half marathon sign up. It’ll be funny and yes, there’ll be the odd song or two from that magnificent voice of his.

It’s Big Bang Theory week! 11 young people have been working with industry professionals to learn about the technical aspects of live sound.

After spending yesterday with The The and their crew, the group will be teaming up with bands and artists to mix the sound for tomorrow’s Fiver gig!

We’re back! Please join us Friday 13 September for the next Club Urania 🪐, 7.30pm to midnight.

We are proud to announce that the fabulous Fat Butcher will share extracts of newly created music & performance developed on residency at Cambridge Junction, exploring the spiritual possibilities of q***rness and the mystic powers of poppers.
 
Fatt Butcher is an award winning cabaret artist, vocalist, and professional hot mess based in Birmingham. Heralded by critics as an ‘incredible vocal powerhouse’ and ‘the accelerating decline of humanity’ by trolls on twitter, Fatt has performed across the UK including recently for Mighty Hoopla and Latitude Festivals, they were notably the first person to sniff poppers live on national television. Fatt’s work explores fatness, care, community, and togetherness, they are interested in what q***rness has to offer the world.

Club Urania is committed to reducing barriers to access, providing pay-what-you-feel tickets, a decompression space in the venue, and live-captioning.

Club Urania is a not-for-profit collaboration between Cambridge Junction , Wysing Arts Centre .arts.centre, Roeland van der Heiden , Diarmuid Hester , and Celia Willoughby .
