With three operating divisions, Haines Co is a six figure agency with clients across the UK, USA, Canada and Australia, providing cutting edge campaigns for a vast array of industries.
We are a dedicated, ambitious and like-minded team of creatives, ideating client content daily with the primary focus on return on investment. We operate under four service pillars: Social - Web - Brand - Visual, and therefore stand proudly as a holistic, creative agency, that works multiplatform for each and every client.
The ideal candidate is a team player, with a love for start-ups, good music, tech (being an Apple snob isn’t necessary, although most of our team are!), and can speak with clients in a confident and welcoming manner (extensive training will be provided).
Previous experience in brand/marketing agencies is desirable but not essential. We all have to start somewhere!
What you’ll be doing:
- Working with a variety of different clients from different industries (including the financial sector, hospitality, property and more)
- Designing social content for day to day output
- Conceptualising content strategies
- Building brand assets for clients
- Developing brands from scratch to finish
- Communicating with clients
The ideal candidate:
- Passionate about design and delivering creative solutions
- A well crafted portfolio of relevant work
- A team player
- A naturally sociable and outgoing person
- Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD and InDesign)
- Conceptual thinker and have extensive knowledge about design theory
- Keen eye for detail
- Confidence in ability
Desirable but not essential:
⭐️ Animation, motion graphics and/or illustration skills
⭐️ Experience in talking with clients
Completely remote working with flexible shift pattern!

After their first rebrand in 2016, to appear more youthful and fun, we weren't sure what to expect from BBC 3 in their next moves...
BBC 3 was relaunched on the 1st February 2022 and has appeared with an interesting new colour scheme and identity.

Are NFTs the future of art?
With the recent surge in cryptocurrency, it was only a matter of time before the art industry followed. For years artists have struggled with selling their work, well this was the case until the explosion of NFTs!
An NFT is a "Non-fungible token" which is a one of a kind piece, having its own individual code that can't be replaced with something else. This means that if you trade your token with another, you would have something completely different.
All NFTs belong to a blockchain, a platform that is able to record and store transactions that have been made. This is a great way for artists and creators to monetise their work.
For example, artists no longer have to rely on galleries or auction houses to sell their art. Instead, the artist can sell it directly to the consumer as an NFT, which also lets them keep more of their profits.

Instagram is bringing back the chronological timeline...
From 2010, when the app was launched, Instagram displayed all posts in chronological order. In 2016, Instagram updated the way the feed appeared to users and prioritised post according to an algorithm. The reason for this was that people were missing 70% of posts in their feed, including almost half of posts from their close connections.
The algorithm works by learning our behaviour, our activity and engagement on the app and shows us content depending on this.
So why are they going back to a chronological timeline?
When they first presented the algorithmic feed, users didn't take well to the new feature. We can assume users will have options on how they would like their feed to be presented to them, giving each user their own unique experience when using the app!

Video is here and growing faster than it ever has done before, with the recent rise of tiktok there is now even more ways to consume video online, however, how does this help marketers?
👉🏼 86% of businesses use video as a marketing tool - up from 63% in 2019.
👉🏼 Viewers retain 96% of information on video compared to 10% when reading it in text.
👉🏼 Video is expected to make up 82% of internet traffic this year.
👉🏼 Video ad spend is expected to reach $51.5 billion annually by the year 2025, up from $16.4 billion in 2020.
Video can be used to reach new customers, educate them on your product or service and connect with them like never before.

Burger King Rebranding 🍔
From 1953 to 1999, Burger King has changed its logo a number of times, with its longest reign between 1969 and 1999.
It's no wonder they have recently reverted back to this logo, with a couple of tweaks!
Logo designer, Jones Knowles Ritchie, confirmed that inspiration was taken from previous designs in order to bring back a nostalgic feel to the brand.
Designer, Emily puts: "I think this is a really positive move for Burger King; the solid, vibrant colour scheme in the new branding is really eye-catching and modern! Reverting back to a more identifiable burger logo is also beneficial, as well as being nostalgic."
While some of us are here for the nostalgia, others took to Twitter to express that the new logo isn't in 'any way brilliant or innovative'.
