Fydd ein cyfarfod Grŵp Rhanddeiliaid nesaf yn cymryd rhan ar-lein ar ddydd Mawrth 24 Medi o 12-1yp. Thema’r cyfarfod yw ‘Ymwybyddiaeth a sgiliau rhyngddiwylliannol’ a fyddwn ni’n trafod strategaethau a hyfforddiant gall sefydliadau rhoi yn ei le i baratoi dysgwyr a staff i gymryd rhan mewn symudedd tramor. Fyddwn ni hefyd yn archwilio sut all Taith helpu sefydliadau Derbyniwr Grant i ddatblygi ei sgiliau rhyngddiwylliannol.

Our next Stakeholder Group Meeting will take place online on Tuesday 24 September, 12-1pm. The theme is ‘Intercultural awareness and skills’ and we'll be looking to discuss strategies and training organisations can have in place to prepare learners, and staff, to undertake a mobility overseas. We'll also be exploring how Taith can help support Grant Recipient organisations to develop their intercultural skills.

We are delighted that Dolen Cymru Lesotho will be supporting us and providing their expertise and insights during this Stakeholder meeting.

We are looking forward to hosting delegates from across Africa in Cape Town next week at the 1st Pan-African Synthetic Phonics Summit.

The event will host guests speakers from ministries of education and partner NGOs in Kenya, Nigeria, Lesotho, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Zambia and, of course, South Africa.

This is all part of our ongoing efforts to honour the legacy of Nelson Mandela and help ensure that all children have access to a good education and are able to read with meaning.

Global Solidarity Summit 2024 | #GlobalUndod2024 Bringing together individuals and organisations from Wales working on solidarity projects across the world.

To celebrate the end of the Olympics we are moving onto the African continent! Taith has had several projects based in Africa, but we want to showcase this wonderful partnership ‘Glan-y-Moyeni’ between Ysgol Glan-y-Môr in Burry Port, Wales, and Moyeni High School in Quthing, Lesotho.

But before we look at this project, did you know, there are three values of Olympism? These are excellence, respect and friendship. They constitute the foundation on which the Olympic Movement builds its activities to promote sport, culture and education with a view to building a better world.

There are so many parallels between the Olympics and Taith and this ‘Glan-y-Moyeni’ really shows how Taith funded projects builds respect and develops friendships whilst also promoting and enhancing education with a view to building a better world.

Last Friday we held a Mokete in Carmarthenshire to celebrate our Wales Teacher Placement Programme and Taith International Exchange 2024. 36 visitors came from Lesotho to share learning with schools across South Wales. Thanks to and for supporting our country links and life-changing exchanges. ’chBro

One of our key supporters from St. David's in Pembrokeshire is raising money for Heal Our Land Organisation - HOLO by running the Edinburgh Marathon Festival at the end of May. During her visit to Lesotho with Taith and our good selves earlier this year she was blown away by the amazing work this organisation does with vulnerable young people.
