A carefully curated community market of local artists, makers, and crafters
It's finally the weekend so we are taking you to the beach with tonight's makers.
Forth Estuary Crafts is inspired by the coastline of the Forth. They make crafted gifts using hand picked seaglass, pottery, coal and our resin makes depict the colour of the sea.
They will also have their latest creation, a little children’s picture book inspired from a meeting with little seal in the water at Largo. The story tells the tale of friendship and a changing climate.

Our treat for you this Tuesday is the lovely willow creations from Rachel's Willow Designs. Rachel Kirk of Rachel’s Willow Designs is a basket maker and willow sculptor who takes inspiration from the natural world around her studio in Abernethy, Perthshire. By experimenting with different varieties of willow and a range of weaves, Rachel uses the natural beauty of the willow to provide texture and interest, giving each piece its own personality. She hand weaves a wide variety of pieces for the home and garden, and also offers bespoke commissions and teaches willow weaving workshops at her studio.

Howe Crafti were last with us in May. We are delighted to have them back with us for the November market.
Jacqui, a farmer's wife from Dunshalt loves to make gorgeous creations from recycled kilts, wood, tweed coats and wrangler jackets. Her kiltbags are sent all over the world and she never makes two the same. They catch the eye of many and can be very sentimental.
This year Jacqui has branched out and changed from padded tartan Christmas trees to solid wooden ones! Once they're gone, they're gone.

If you didn't see the guys from The Cheesy Toast Shack on Saturday Kitchen this morning go check it out on catch up. Great to see such a St. Andrews staple highlighted. They were naturals, perhaps their next adventure will be a cooking show.
Catch us today! Shows on NOW on BBC One and you can catch us around 11am! X
Nana Kats Apothecary is very happy to be back in November, especially as the festive period begins and they do love a bit of Holly and some Christmas music. They make award-winning, natural, vegan and sustainable skincare inspired by folk herbalism and Scottish folklore.
They are back with all their usual award-winning Facial Oil Elixirs, Body Oils, Clay Mask Tonics, Hydrosol Toners, Oil to Milk Cleansers, Bath Salts and Lip Balms and some great festive bundle deals. If you are buying any products for a gift, they will box it up with a sprinkling of rose petals for free.
And if you say ‘mistletoe’ you can pick a free lip balm of your choice with any purchase £15 or over (until they run out).

We start our November market meet the maker with one of our much loved regular makers. Shed Heaven's fused glass inspired by the Scottish coast and countryside is all handmade in a little garden shed in Cupar.
Kay makes a wide range of glass items, including garden and window hangers, lanterns, gin stirrers, tealights, wall vases and teacup gardens. She also adds glass elements to upcycled pieces of furniture and, in the run up to Christmas, she enjoys making a host of quirky Christmas tree decorations. Kay will be with us at both the November and December markets.

Yip it’s even a bit too early for me but they are back! 🎄 … I’ll have a few of my little handmade Christmas trees and lots of other gift ideas for those wanting to make a start on their Xmas shopping. Two floors of fab artisans and crafters this Saturday at Rose & Thistle Markets in St.Andrews. You’re going to be spoilt for choice! 🧡
How stunning is this flower cloud from SuzyBloom. She makes the most beautiful flower arrangements and because they are dried you can enjoy them for so much longer.

It is important to us to support not only local businesses, but also local charitable organisations. This month we are delighted to be able to help Storehouse St Andrews by hosting a food collection. If you can spare any of the items on the In Need list pictured, we would greatly appreciate you bringing them along on Saturday. There will be a drop off point in the entrance hallway.
Storehouse is a foodbank serving our community of NE Fife. It was set up in 2006 by Kingdom Vineyard church and ever since they have been giving out bags of essentials to anyone in need. They provide tinned and dried food donated by the local community. They also provide toiletries, domestic cleaning products and pet food.
