I just would like to share some interesting news in the filed of medical aesthetics.

What an incredible day of training on the latest techniques and advancements in using Silhouette Soft sutures for improving mild to moderate facial sagging! A big thank you to .woodward for sharing her expertise and to for putting together such a fantastic event!

In the past few weeks, we have welcomed a number of new patients for their initial consultations. It is such sad news about SK:N closure!
It is hard to believe that the biggest and one of the most established skin, medical aesthetics, and cosmetic surgery provider with a lot of experienced staff had to close their doors with no notice. So many service users and staff have been affected.

That brings back memories to the day when my husband woke up with half of his face and neck swollen, requiring an emergency dental care. It was the day when our dental practice from the Bupa group closed their doors and was not responding to any phone calls... Getting an appointment that day in alternative dental practice was challenging. Fortunately, another practice from the group was able to help.

One of my social media reels recently received a comment brimming with anger. The commenter questioned why I refer to them as ‘treatments’ when they supposedly don’t cure anything.

Allow me to respectfully disagree. What if we view many medical aesthetics treatments as a form of prevention instead? Numerous publications have highlighted the positive impact on mental health, and let’s not forget that our skin is the largest organ in our body. As we age, it becomes more delicate and doesn’t function as efficiently as it did in our youth.

I firmly believe that dermatology and medical aesthetics should not be seen as separate fields. Often, we are the first to notice the effects of certain skin conditions on our patients and can steer them in the right direction. This includes identifying suspicious skin lesions, even when patients come to us with completely different concerns. Our goal is to offer a holistic approach to aid in the best interest of people’s health through our services.
