Our mixed team finishing in the top 4 ( semi finals )out of 65 teams at the deep dish tournament in Portugal 🇵🇹against over 20 different universities over the UK !!

Women’s Taster Day!☑️
Thank you to all who made our Taster Days, it was an absolute amazing start to our year and we cannot wait for you to officially join the club🤩 We are all absolutely gobsmacked at how quickly ALL of you learnt and refreshed your volleyball skills😳. WE are so overwhelmingly PROUD and excited for you all! I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did, and we want to also show a BIG THANK YOU to all who helped during the sessions especially to Vanessa, Mary (Amazons Volleyball member) Andy and Reese (Titans Volleyball Members) who ran our sessions despite there busy schedules! 🥺💕 We have learnt so much from all of our coaches and cant wait to see you all again soon 👀 (news coming soon🦆)

The HEVO position stands for “Higher Education Volleyball Officer” a role recently integrated into Chester Uni’s Volleyball Club. This role is represented by … Ethan Hall, one of our magnificent players in the Men’s Team, who only properly began the sport last year! He has proven many times that he can be a leader, and there is no doubt he will make an awesome captain leading the Men’s Team to Victory 🏆

Ethan has left many players in awe with his hits, and if you have ever watched Haikyuu (anime which we highly reccomend watching) Ethan truly represents the little giant within the series 🦅

Before last year ended, Ethan has already made progress with encouraging new players to join Chester University, we are all so thrilled to welcome all of our new players and club members this coming September, see you all at the Sports Fair!

And don’t be surprised if Ethan is getting you to sign up for the Taster Sessions!😁

This year we are proud to present our 2022-2023 Women’s 1st Team Captain….. Olivia Johnson!

Liv is an amazing player and is coming back even stronger from last year after covid took many of our Volleyball trainings away in her first year. Liv radiates being Captain and we cant wait for her to lead our 1st Team to victory (no pressure 👀😂💕)

She is patient and kind and is a great role model for new players! We are all so excited for our Team Chants✊🏼🏐

We are so excited to finally carry out our Fundraising ideas this year in support for charities like “Mind” (We will be posting more on this soon) 🤩

Many of us still remember meeting Pras for the first time! The unforgettable 20min HARDCORE warm up on our first day. At one point; which was a little blurry to remember, there was a never ending squat session which was apparently only 6mins long😂 we have all never been so ready for a session before, thank you pras😂❤️

Our Pras is always mentioning a Volleyball Society Trip, the idea is absolutely fantastic and we will do our best wait to make it happen! We know it would definitely be an amazing beach volleyball memory for all of us🏐

We can’t wait to spend another exciting year with you on the committee!

Our social sec duo would not be completed without… Lottie Bawden!

Last year Lottie was the Social sec for the Rollerskating Society and now she is the Vice President! She has always been a hardworking and friendly individual and always aspires to improve and learn in her sports! She has been ice skating for many years and her dedication truly shows in the club, and thats why she makes a great role model!

She can be easily spotted with her vibrant coloured hair🌈 so if you do bump into her, don’t be shy to say hello or have a chat!

This year the Volleyball Committee has formed a Social sec DUO! One of those duos is…. Sean Nice.
Being left handed and playing as opposite has proven to be a great advantage in many of our Men’s games, and his fierce attitude on court and soft and kind nature off court makes him a great player and friend to all of our club members.

We cant wait for what the DUOS have planned for our socials this year!

Last year was the first time l had held a volleyball! My only knowledge of this sport was from Haikyu!!, and it isn’t quite the same 😂
The process of learning Volleyball is difficult, frustrating but I can assure you… nothing can compare to THE rewarding feeling when you make even the slightest progress😍
All the improvements I have gained throughout the year could not have been possible without the positive and patient nature of all the club members, and I thank them for that♥️

I have felt nothing but happiness and eagerness to learn when attending the sessions and my goals of improving have left me determined to stay in this new sport for a very long time and to one day fly as high as Hinata💀😂

I did feel hesitant at first to join due to my short stature😅 but it is all about practise, determination and passion that keeps you going! I can happily say at 5’1 I can touch the top of the woman’s AND men’s net, If I can do that I believe you can also do anything! 🤩

This year we are forming a 2nd Women’s Volleyball Team! Representing this new team we are proud to present…. Liyah Polius as a new committee member for 2nd Captain. Liyah is a dedicated individual, proof of this is from being one of the quickest ones to learn an overhand serve! There is no doubt on how she will greatly engage and inspire our new members in September.
