It is sad to me that years ago, I would have looked at these and seen one flattering, one unflattering. I would have seen only one “insta worthy”. I would have only been proud of one of these photos.😣
NOW, I see one photo showcasing the hard earned muscle that I have built through YEARS of discipline and consistency (nothing extreme or unhealthy). And another (equally flattering!) photo showcasing how my body bends and folds, the hard-earned looser skin on my lower stomach from my journey to motherhood, and a beautiful moment being relaxed and present with sunshine on my face. BOTH “reality”. BOTH beautiful. BOTH flattering. Both ME.💛

Yes, I am proud of my physique— because it represents DISCIPLINE, dedication, and CONSISTENCY in not only my physical fitness journey, but my journey to care for my mental and emotional healing and health that (for me!) runs parallel to it.

So I haven't been tremendously active on here as been so busy but just had a lovely result with a client today.
10 weeks today I started working with her remotely just as the gyms were shutting and she has smashed lockdown managing to lose 23lbs in that time!!!!!!!! She is doing so well and is doing it all for herself. GIRL POWER!
Her commitment is amazing and she is such a dream to work with. Keep it up lady you got this! (I have her full permission to post these pictures)

So 30 day challenge had to restart after I couldnt complete. I fell and hurt my knee. Poor me. So back to the beginning I went. I guess i'll treat the first 10 days a warm up... Day 5 today, 100 squats a day..... fun times. Please support me and show your support for the British legion too. X

Well I'm missing my pad work so decided to smash a shoulder set instead. Definitely feeling it now. I am limited on weights but by concentrating on the contraction and muscle isolation through slow reps, I certainly worked to fatigue. 500 would have been plenty. Took me nearly an hour with warm up and stretches.

Skipping has been a love of mine for a while now. The additional benefit right now is it keeps me in my garden too. Enjoy it like you're 6 years old!

Fresh air, more than 2 meters between us and I will push you through an hours bootcamp style circuit. "I'm not a runner" is something I've always said a lot. I'm short and heavy. With little fat legs. I like strength training. I'm better built for squatting. Last month I was quite firmly told that "you're not a runner cause You tell yourself you're not a runner. "
This annoyed me somewhat as it reminded me that I tell people every day that they can be whatever they want to be. So why dont I believe in myself? Same reasons many of you reading this will feel similar.
This needs to change. Our mindset is what determines our success. We are often the saboteurs of our own lives so let's stop that now!
Little changes are the best and the most successful. Set tiny achievable personal goals. feel proud of your achievements. Shake off the knocks.
WHAT DOESN'T CHALLENGE US DOESN'T CHANGE US!
PS I still hate running but I love how it makes me feel after. Smugness goals. And I can now run a little further, a little faster and it's a little bit easier in just a week.
PPS running may be an exaggeration of what I actually do. It's more of a trot than a gallop.... but I'm not slow, I'm consistent! Were all just trying to put one foot in front of the other most days.

So.... 1st March.... Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus.... and I have to tackle this challenge that I set myself. Today I was working so I just did 30 mins spin to warm up the legs (about 6 miles, but that doesn't count) and a strength class. I have started running with the naughty doglet and the loop "round the block" is a nice 4.5 km..... so I have 10 laps of that to run over the next month as well as cycling it 40 times!!!!!! I would say swimming it would be a challenge but at the moment I wouldn't be so sure..... the fields are pretty full of ducks. I'll keep you posted! x

There are three major components to motivation: activation, persistence and intensity. Activation involves the decision to initiate a behavior. Persistence is the continued effort toward a goal even though obstacles may exist. Finally, intensity can be seen in the concentration and vigor that goes into pursuing a goal.
