This week’s cocktail special is the “New York Sour”
This drink updates the Whiskey Sour recipe (whiskey, lemon, sugar, egg white) with a float of dry red wine. The wine lends its aromatic qualities and deep red color to the drink. Reports trace the New York Sour back to the 1870s or 1880s, although it operated under other names during this time, including the Continental Sour. It’s possible that the New York Sour was created in Chicago, but in time, the New York label grabbed on and never let go. Drop in over the weekend and let us know your thoughts on this little number..

Created in 2011 by Joaquín Simó, the Naked & Famous is another riff on the classic Last Word cocktail. Extremely well balanced, the mezcal brings smoke to the table while fresh lime, Aperol and Yellow Chartreuse bring sour, bitter and sweet.

We have had a long standing relationship with artist for a number of years here at as well as & when you next visit don’t hesitate to ask see more of his incredible work at our watergate street premises. You may even be lucky enough to catch the man in question!

We are excited to announce the the will be offering charcuterie boards and seasonal soups from 12pm at weekends as well as platters in the evenings. We look forward to welcoming you.

Tonight we our excited to welcome the brilliant for a night of blues and jazz piano, starting at 8pm let’s welcome the cosy autumnal nights in with style.

Really exited to announce that tomorrow night (Thursday) Adam Farrah will be playing the Disguisery with his fantastic mix of folk, blues and lap steel guitar. The session will start at 8pm we look forward to seeing you all.

Over the festive period we have added a few Christmas specials to our cocktail list, our classic old fashion has had a festive make over with a hint of cranberry, the classic Christmas snowball cocktail is now on the menu and of course the bar is filled with the aroma of hot mulled wine. All our Christmas specials are served with a complimentary mince pie. Merry Christmas and look forward to seeing you soon.
