ANNOUNCEMENT
After countless hours of deliberation and soul searching the time has come to project our realisation surrounding the future of HYPHA.
With the pinch of the current economic outlook in the UK, we have been struggling to come to terms with the give and take for our guests in the restaurant. With soaring costs of outgoings for the business, our current model leaves us at a high price point for our guests. Unfortunately to continue to operate at the level of service and gastronomy that we desire; that price point would need to increase even further, something we do not want to engage in.
With this, to preserve the integrity of what we hold dear, we have decided to close our doors for the current time and re-evaluate how we can give the public the product we want at a more accessible price.
We are so proud of everything we have achieved and how many gigantic obstacles we have overcome since opening in 2019 but the time has come for us to go into hibernation for the economic winter that is approaching.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all our guests past and present, every member of the team that has given so much of their passion and enthusiasm to our project and to the likes of the Michelin Guide for supporting our philosophies and ideas on a worldwide scale.
We will take this time to work on new projects and to develop a way to reimagine HYPHA in a different time, location and ex*****on. Keeping our soul philosophies in place.

As the temperature drops outside, we look back at one of the UK’s finest summer ingredients; the tomato.
Malpas grown tomatoes from .and.petals, lacto-fermented ketchup, walnut pesto and fennel granita served with a black garlic corn cake & BBQ tomato consommé.
We are just over a week into our evolution to hypha V3.0 and we couldn’t be happy with the response we’ve had so far!
Our experimental dining experience has really hit the ground running.

From this September, hypha is distilling it’s micro-seasonal, green Michelin star tasting menu into a unique dining experience for just twelve guests.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT - hypha IS EVOLVING
As we move into autumn 2022, h y p h a will once again shed it skin and be reborn into something never seen in Chester, the Northwest or even the UK. Our twenty-cover, seven-table dining space will be distilled down in a single table occupied by just 12 seats. Our acclaimed tasting menu will now be presented directly by our chef patron, Laszlo Nagy and his team. Dishes will be created and decorated in front of you with surprises and interactions weaving their way through every course. Our food principles and dedication to quality will remain at their highest as we execute each day’s ‘performance’ and raise the bar for shared, fine dining experiences. Our wine list and drinks flights will be curated by our in-house sommelier bringing incredible natural wines, intertwined with our own creations from our drinks laboratory.
The curtains will raise on our “Season’s Story” only 6 times per week;
Thursday: Soirée (Evening).
Friday: Matinée (Lunch) & Soirée.
Saturday: Matinée, Early Soirée & Soirée.
Each performance will last between two to three hours and guests are encouraged to expect the unexpected in an unpretentious and engaging setting. Tickets will be allocated for parties from 2 - 6 guests and table plans will be designed around this meaning a certain level of privacy will still be awarded to individual parties on the communal dining space.
We are so excited about the atmosphere and inspiration the new space will create and we cannot wait to welcome everyone to take in this truly unique dining experience. Tickets for September & October will be available through our website from 1stof August. Tickets for November & December will be available from 1st of October with priory tickets for members of our mailing list.

Dinner at our “Chef’s Counter” consists of 11 courses of Michelin Green Star, root to leaf theatrics.
Each dish is finished at the counter by the chefs that have lovingly prepared it. There, they will guide you through the thought process and technique behind everything that we do.
The gastronomic journey is accompanied by a matching drinks flight, curated by our sommelier & fermentation manager. The drinks will compliment or contrast the flavours of our seasonal dishes to create a complete dinning experience.
