Here are your 2024-2025 election nominees !! 🗳️

Elections are in person tonight starting sharply at 6pm in room S0.20.

The speeches will be delivered in the order seen above (alphabetically), starting with the president. After each role there will be a vote and the election result will be announced immediately before moving onto the next role.

(1) = the candidates first choice role
(2) = the candidates second choice role

A reminder that speeches for President and VP’s are 5 minutes long with questions from the exec and audience. All other speeches are 2 minutes long with only one question from the exec.

Voters will be able to vote for either one or two candidates (as indicated in the image above) with R.O.N (re-open nominations) being listed as an option for all roles. If R.O.N receives the most votes, no candidates will be elected into the role.

Everyone is welcome to come along and watch, but in order to vote you must have had your membership bought on or before the 23rd February 2024. We will be checking memberships on the door to confirm the number of votes with the number of members in the room. If these do not match up will be checking the individual votes to confirm the mismatch.

On another note there will be free pizza so make sure you come along and support your friends 🍕🍕🍕

Join us on the 29th of February in Leamington to work with the Helping Hands Community Project working with vulnerable people in the community.

This project works to provide a safe space for people in Leamington who need help, be that a hot meal, somewhere to shower or someone to talk to.

We are looking for 5-8 volunteers who can be in leamington from 4 until 8 to help prepare, cook, serve and clean up after a dinner service. We will be working alongside experienced volunteers from the project so there is no need to worry!

We are asking for involvement from the entirety of the society. The project asks for donations to help them in their work. This can be anything non-perishable: toilet roll, coffee, sugar, jam, marmalade, chocolate spread, marmite, butter, long life milk, baked beans, flour, tinned apple etc. It would be amazing if everyone in the society could spend an extra pound or two in their weekly shop, allowing the volunteers to arrive with a bank of goods that can support the project in the future.

We will open a room for an hour (time TBC) for people to drop in with any goods or cash that they want to donate, which we will then spend on food.

We will need to ensure client confidentiality when we are working with the project. It is designed to be a safe space, and as such volunteers will have to sign confidentiality agreements regarding anything we see or hear there.

Prior to volunteering there will be a short presentation where the project leaders will inform us of everything we need to know.

If you have any questions please just send this page a DM or email us and we will get back to you!!
