From Sept 1st 2024 there will be a slight increase for 1hour massage/ treatment sessions (£5). Everything else will stay the same price.
I have been going over 10years and always stayed as affordable and for as long as possible but I am also massively undervaluing myself by doing do. Especially compared with other local businesses who are 20%+ more expensive! I appreciate there may be huff from some but hopefully most people will understand. I’m happy for you to pre purchase blocks/ sessions now to use at a later date.

Sports Massage before a race?
The rule of thumb is for all endurance races is if you havent done it before, dont try it on race day! And the same goes for sports massage, try it as part of your training recovery and see how your body responds.
If you’re newer to it, personally l’d come in earlier in the week to allow recovery and if youre more experienced you can know what your body likes and come later in tbe week!

Born in Hong Kong with a hint of Australian. I’m a yoga instructor who loves to shake things up. Whether it’s mastering the art of paddleboarding yoga or flowing through a vinyasa sequence, I’m all about helping others discover that their bodies can indeed defy expectations.
My journey into yoga began years ago, sparked by a fantastic teacher whose energy matched mine, leading me to fall head over heels for yoga. Now, I pass on that passion by creating spaces where balance, mental clarity, and physical stretching go hand in hand, allowing my students to float (sometimes on water!) beyond their imagined capacities.
When I’m not on my yoga mat, you might find me scaling a cliff, tackling a mountain, or just paddling away in tranquility. Adventure is my middle name, but my dog and daughter keep me grounded—well, as grounded as a mountaineering yogi can be. And let’s not forget, I’m always plotting my next travel escapade, eager to explore new heights and sights. Whether in the studio or on a peak, I’m here to inspire and chuckle our way to wellness. Ready to stretch your smile and your soul.

I would proudly like to introduce Body Health Gatwick’s newest member, Sports Rehabilitator James to the team. James comes originally from a strength and conditioning background following his undergrad in Sports Science and after working in the industry for 3 years he found he came across multiple people with injuries and decided he wanted to retrain. Following this, he went to St. Mary’s University (great Uni) to retrain as a Sports Rehabilitator MSc.
Whilst studying his MSc he completed placements at private practices, assisting clients recovering from surgical interventions such as knee or hip replacements, individuals managing chronic joint pain and provided activity based rehabilitation to clients with spinal cord injuries.
He has since worked in semi professional football and in Performance centres. Private physiotherapy clinics in Kingston, Richmond and Central London providing sports massage as well as rehabilitation and exercise to patients. Working in a variety of sports such as netball, hockey and rugby for which he still works with academy rugby players weekly.
James enjoys swimming, something he had competed in when younger and has played rugby/ lacrosse in the past. He has since moved into Powerlifting and Olympic Lifting and hoping to compete in that in the near future.
Services he will be providing is Sports Massage, Injury Assessment, Follow on Treatment and Strength and Conditioning. All bookable via the MindBody app.

Let’s talk footwear!
I do not recommend running in heels! 😂🙈
Appropriate footwear is always a must especially for sport, but don’t get too hung up on the brands and the ‘pronation support’ hype. End of the day, it’s what fits your feet, is comfortable and allows you to complete the task with minimal impact. Put it this way elite athletes pronate their feet and sometimes look like their ankle would snap off at any second but they are totally fine!
If you’d like to see more about how your running is going drop us a dm or book in a Gait Analysis session. We won’t sell you shoes but we will look at your movement in detail using reflective markers and film put into software (not just eye balling a camera phone) and give you the most accurate and specific feedback possible.

This different treatment modality originated from the USA works by the therapist moving, stretching and rotating your joints to release tension and improve fluid flow. It’s completely pain free and doesn’t have the same after effects like sports massage 😴 but has all the benefits. AND you get an amazing Zen 🧘 feeling after
It’s been compared to like doing Pilates but without having to physically do it as the therapist does all the work 😄
Best time to book is after exercise or on a day off ideally. It takes about 50min.
First session is £30 so you can try it guilt free and possibly convert you to the dark side 😉🫶
Some old pics (2012) of me doing my final project for my MSc in Sports Science Biomechanics. I was placing 3D markers (the glowing dots) and EMG sensors on Thai boxers legs and getting them to kick a punchbag at different distances away to see if I could suggest an optimal distance for maximum force. There was a sensor on the punchbag also looking at acceleration, so I could work out force.
The filming in 3D meant I could see angles and acceleration of body parts and the EMG measured which muscles fired at which time as they measured electrical activity.
Results were optimal kicking range for a Thai boxer was at their full leg length distance away from the target and also using a big hip movement which created a ‘cracking the whip’ style motion as their shins hit the target. Some force numbers also came in similar to that being hit by a small car at 30mph!! 🙀
Super love sports science and can’t wait to bring in some 2D gait analysis for running performance to the clinic next month.

This is Sarah She has just come back from hiking Himlung Himal which is part of the Himalayas with a height of 7126m last month. She was out there for roughly a month visiting a wonderful Nepalese village and had guides with her which I enjoyed hearing about on the way. She battled loss of appetite, exhaustion and also oxygen deprivation but said she had a fairly clear hike. She has a wonderful website with more details. An experience I think she will never forget and I feel she’s planning the next already 😂. Massive well done you are an incredible inspirational woman.
