🌟 CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT- MENS FOOTBALL 🌟
As the club are busy preparing for the 24/25 season, we have very exciting news.
Last season we established our first ever girls teams and also built a thriving, and England Football accredited, Pan Disability Football Section.
Well, we don’t like to stand still, and have been striving to develop clear pathways for our players.
🌟 We are proud to announce that we will be launching our first ever Men’s team for the 24/25 Season. 🌟
The team is established and already training under Coach and Manager Lee.
We are now looking for sponsorship for the team so we can provide them with both a home and away kit, matching the rest of the club. And, in true C**ts fashion, we’re approaching it in a slightly different way whilst working in partnership with SHOT.
We are looking for a number of local businesses to support this initiative through a range of sponsorship or pledge packages of varying financial amounts
Please see the link below or get in touch for more details.
And…..spread the word by sharing this post!

During , we are delighted to congratulate our Girls Football Lead, Coach Karen, on her worthy nomination for the Lioness Award in the England Football Grassroots Football Awards 24.
Coach Karen joined us at the start of last season, along with her then U12 girls squad. This was to be our first ever all girls squad at the club. Soon joined by Coach Anthony and the then U14 girls squad, Karen quickly took on the responsibility of growing our all-new girls section. Going into the 24/25 Season our club’s girls section celebrates its first anniversary and will now comprise of 4 all girls squads at U12, U13, U15 and U16.
Karen is relentless, dedicated and so passionate about growing and improving the opportunities for females in the game, as Players, Coach or official. Now as the club’s Girls Football League and as an active member of the clubs Committee, Karen has had a big impact on our club both on and off the pitch. Karen is an excellent ambassador for the club and for the female grassroots game.
She has some of exciting and ambitious plans in mind for the coming season - so watch this space!
Good luck, Karen. We’re all very proud of you.

This evening our secondary school aged C**ts had the opportunity to take part in our second Careers in Football Workshop, facilitated by Rob and his brilliant team at Albion in the Community, Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club.
During the session we discussed the different types of jobs available within the football ecosystem, other than ‘Footballer’, and the skills and experience needed for those. There are over 1,000 different jobs at Brighton and Hove Albion - something for everyone.
We also talked about the importance of the skills and experiences gained in grassroots football such as communication skills, ability to work as part of a team, resilience, leadership, tenacity, adaptability and so many more. As employers look more and more towards skills over qualifications - the experiences gained as C**ts will already stand them in good stead.
Rob’s team kindly shared their lived experiences of finding a new path in the football industry when the dream of turning pro didn’t work out for them. Such valuable lessons for our young C**ts.
A huge thanks to Rob, Niamh, Hayley, Tom and Sammy for giving up their time to talk with us, and thank you to the C**ts who joined the workshop.
We are the only grassroots youth football club that provides this type of session, and the incredible insight it gives, outside of the normal school
setting, through our relationships with clubs such as Brighton & Hove Albion.

🔴⚫️ Away to Crystal Palace 🔵 🔴
In the first of a series of planned games for C**ts, this evening our U11 White Team travelled away to Crystal Palace.
Coach Lee said:
“C**ts took the opportunity provided by the club to play a Crystal Palace U11 team tonight in amazing sunny conditions. The game started off as a tense tight affair on a quick 3G pitch. Both teams fashioned early chances but opportunities were not taken. Midway through the first half saw some individual skill unlock the deadlock with C**ts quickly 2 down. The boys heads didn't drop and they regrouped and hit back themselves before half time with a quickfire two goals from Harry.
The boys were buzzing during half time and started to believe they could win the game. The early stages in second half C**ts dominated and with 10 mins to go had raced into a the lead with 2 goals from Grady. The last 10 mins saw some resolute defending and great saves as the opposition came on strong.
All in all a great opportunity and experience for the boys and one they throughly enjoyed.
Well done C**ts”

Our U7s attended their first tournament of the season yesterday, at Broadbridge Heath FC. With the U7 Red Team reaching the Semi Final!
Coach Brian said:
“What an experience today has been for our team. All of the players played so well committed and motivated for all games.
I want thank all the parents for their fantastic support to our team and really great team community we have built together.
Our first tournament experience was thrilling and so exciting. Everyone of the boys gave it their all in unfamiliar surroundings and playing against mostly unknown teams with strong level of play.
Lots of match time. I hope all the players felt they all got enough opportunity to play in all of the games.
The results don't not really matter its the fun, enjoyment experience and learning as the boys continue to progress. However from the results it a measure of how well the team are progressing and developing along their football journey having fun, enjoying it along the way.
I want to congratulate the Black team also on there efforts today they were down a few players. However they played very well. Plus to other other C**ts teams from other age groups boys & girls and teams we wish them luck today and tomorrow.”
A great afternoon of football for our U12 girls at the Broadbridge Heath FC tournament yesterday.
With so many players eager to get involved, Maidenbower C**ts FC were able to field two teams which meant even more supporters cheering them on!
Coach Cat said:
“The girls worked incredibly hard throughout the afternoon and showed, yet again, how much they have improved this season with some great communication, determined defending and some impressive attacking play.
“We are so lucky to have such a great group of girls and we couldn't be prouder of them all!!”
‼️Saka got away lightly with this injury. It could have been a lot worse for him.
💯As a youth football club, safety is a key consideration. Our Club Policy on this, and the Laws of the Game, state that shin guards/pads are a compulsory piece of equipment.
❌ Please do not send your child to training, games or tournaments without shin pads or wearing mini/micro shin pads.
⚠️No shin pads (mini/micro shin pads count as wearing no shin pads) 🟰 no participation.

🏆 Crawley Youth Football League Cup Final Weekend 🏆
On Sunday, our U7 Black Team, U8 Red Team and U8 Black Team showcased their talent in the Crawley Youth Football League Cup Finals.
Although the final results didn't swing in their favour, the determination, tenacity, resilience, and skill exhibited were super impressive. Each C**t poured their heart into the game, playing not only for themselves but also their teammates right the way to the final whistle.
It's astonishing to witness the progress of our U7 and U8 teams this season. They persisted, never faltered, and despite the outcome, their sportsmanship at the end was commendable, showing maturity surpassing their young years. A huge testament to the dedication of their coaching teams.
Reaching a final is an incredible achievement in its self and they should all be incredibly proud of themselves. The lessons learned from this experience will serve them well next season.
A special mention to our U7 Red Team who unfortunately met the U7 Black Team in the semi-finals, missing out on representing the club in the finals themselves. That said, it was great to see so many of them on Sunday supporting and cheering on their fellow C**ts in the Black Team - well done.

🏆 Crawley Youth League U7 Semi Final 🏆
Our U7 Red and Black Teams met in their league cup semi final this morning.
A no-quarter-given yet very respectful and sporting match ensued with the scores even at full time, taking this intra-club battle to nail biting penalties.
The Black Team clinched the win by a single penalty despite the valiant efforts of the Red Team.
With great sportsmanship from every single one the young Players and fantastic support from parents and guardians, our Coaches couldn’t be any prouder.
Both C**ts U7 teams have had a superb first season and have grown and developed so well.
To top off the day, both teams met at Creams for a semi final treat.
Well done to all involved. Very proud to be C**ts.
It was a great night for some of our U12 girls who were given the chance to watch Brighton and Hove Albion women play at the Amex, thanks to the generosity of sponsors American Express.
Not quite the scoreline they were hoping for, but an amazing opportunity to watch professional women’s football up close and be inspired!
