Tonight's cacao ceremony was a soulful journey of love, gratitude, and trust. Bathed in the aroma of sacred cacao, we basked in the glow of connection and shared wisdom. Each sip a reminder of the sweetness life offers when shared with cherished souls. Grateful for the bonds that deepen with every ceremony. Here's to the magic of evenings like this, where hearts connect and spirits soar.

Happy Beltane!
Beltane marks the transition from Spring to Summer, and the transition from air to fire on the Medicine wheel.
Itโs a time of celebration, joy, and fertility, and a transition point.
FROM AIR TO FIRE
In shamanism and animism, there is a particular interest in transitions, in the โbetwixt and betweenโ places, the cracks between the worlds. This is where the really interesting stuff can happen, where the veil between the physical and non-physical realms is at its thinnest.

Yesterday's gathering was truly magicalโa gathering of kindred spirits coming together in a profound ceremony to connect with our power animals and commune with nature spirits. We delved into the art of releasing trauma and stagnant energy, journeying within to discover new depths of self-awareness. Grateful beyond words for these incredible souls who walk this path with me. Together, we journey, we learn, and we grow. ๐ฟโจ๐ป๐ป
Gathering with like-minded friends for a cacao ceremony is among my most cherished activities. It's a nurturing, rebalancing experience that fosters deep insights, benefiting the mind, body, and soul ๐ป
โIf youโre not angry, youโre either a stone, or youโre too sick to be angry. You should be angry. You must not be bitter. Bitterness is like cancer. It eats upon the host. It doesnโt do anything to the object of its displeasure. So use that anger, yes. You write it. You paint it. You dance it. You march it. You vote it. You do everything about it. You talk it. Never stop talking it.โ
Embracing Self-Care:
A Guide to Nurturing Your Well-being ๐
Today, I'm taking a step back to prioritize myself with a well-deserved self-care day. In a world filled with constant hustle and bustle, it's easy to forget the importance of nurturing our own well-being. However, carving out time for self-care isn't just a luxury; it's a vital aspect of maintaining a healthy and balanced life. ๐ป
Self-care comes in many forms, and the beauty of it lies in its adaptability to suit individual preferences and needs. Here are a few ways you can tailor your own self-care day... ๐๐๐
๐งโโ๏ธ Mindful Moments
Start your day with mindfulness practices such as meditation or deep breathing exercises. Taking just a few minutes to center yourself can set a positive tone for the day ahead.
๐ฅ Nourish Your Body
Treat yourself to nourishing foods that fuel your body and mind. Whether it's preparing a wholesome meal at home or indulging in your favorite healthy snacks, prioritizing nutrition is a cornerstone of self-care.
๐ถโโ๏ธMove Your Body
Engage in physical activities that bring you joy, whether it's going for a leisurely walk in nature, practicing yoga, or dancing to your favorite tunes. Exercise not only boosts endorphins but also enhances overall well-being.
๐ Unplug and Recharge
Disconnect from technology and create space for quiet reflection. Spend time in nature, read a book, or simply enjoy moments of solitude to recharge your mental batteries.
๐ Pamper Yourself
Treat yourself to a spa day at home with luxurious skincare routines, soothing baths, or indulgent self-massage techniques. Taking care of your physical body is an integral part of self-care.
๐ฅ Creative Expression
Engage in activities that spark creativity and self-expression, such as painting, writing, or playing musical instruments. These outlets can serve as therapeutic tools for processing emotions and reducing stress.
๐ซ Connect with Loved Ones
Cultivate meaningful connections with friends and family members who uplift and support you. Spending quality time with loved ones can provide a sense of belonging and emotional nourishment.
๐ซ Set Boundaries
Learn to say no to activities or commitments that drain your energy and prioritize activities that align with your values and well-being. Setting boundaries is essential for preserving your mental and emotional health.
Remember, self-care is not selfish, it's a fundamental practice of self-love and compassion. By prioritizing your own well-being, you'll not only enhance your quality of life but also have more to give to others. So, embrace self-care wholeheartedly and make it a non-negotiable part of your routine. After all, you deserve it. ๐ป

Maria Sabina, a Mazatec healer from Mexico, is renowned as a pioneer in shamanic medicine and healing. She facilitated profound spiritual experiences and healing for her community. Sabina's rituals, often conducted in darkness with the aid of chanting and traditional instruments, were deeply rooted in indigenous traditions. Her work gained global recognition, attracting scholars, artists, and seekers from around the world, contributing to the growing interest in indigenous healing practices and the exploration of consciousness. Sabina's legacy continues to inspire and influence contemporary shamanic practitioners and researchers seeking to understand the therapeutic potential of psychedelics. ๐ฟ๐ชถ๐๐ฟ๐ชถ๐๐ฟ๐ชถ๐
๐งโโ๏ธ Children possess an innate curiosity and imagination that allows them to perceive the world in ways that adults often overlook. When they share their imaginary stories or speak of things that may not be visible to the naked eye, they are tapping into a realm of creativity and intuition that is truly remarkable. By dismissing or ignoring these experiences, we risk stifling their natural inclination to explore and understand the world around them.
๐ฆ It's important to recognize that children's imaginations are not bound by the constraints of adult logic or rationality. Instead, they are free to wander through fantastical realms and dream up scenarios that may seem improbable to us. However, within their imaginative play and storytelling lies a wealth of cognitive and emotional development.
๐ฆ By listening attentively to children and validating their experiences, we not only show them that their thoughts and feelings are valued but also encourage them to trust their intuition and creativity. In doing so, we nurture their sense of self-confidence and self-expression, laying the foundation for a lifelong journey of exploration and discovery.
๐งโโ๏ธ Moreover, by remaining open-minded to the possibility of other dimensions or realms beyond our immediate perception, we demonstrate to children that the world is full of wonder and mystery waiting to be explored. We encourage them to embrace curiosity and to approach the unknown with a sense of awe and excitement.
๐งโโ๏ธ As we grow older, many of us become conditioned to rely solely on what we can see, hear, and touch in the physical world. However, by actively engaging with children's imaginative narratives and experiences, we can reconnect with our own sense of wonder and tap into a deeper understanding of ourselves and the universe around us.
๐งโโ๏ธ Ultimately, by honoring and nurturing children's imaginative capacities, we not only support their individual growth and development but also foster a more compassionate and interconnected society that values creativity, intuition, and the pursuit of knowledge in all its forms.
Happy Tuesday ๐ป๐

By addressing and healing these wounds, you can experience greater emotional freedom, increased self-esteem, and improved relationships with yourself and others. Ultimately, embracing your inner child empowers you to live a more authentic, fulfilling life. ๐งโโ๏ธ๐
Working on your inner child can involve various therapeutic techniques and practices, including:
Inner child visualization
Imagining yourself as a child and providing comfort, reassurance, and love to your younger self.
Journaling
Writing about your childhood experiences, emotions, and memories can help you process and understand your inner child's needs and wounds.
Therapy
Seeking guidance from a therapist trained in inner child work can provide a safe space to explore and heal past traumas and patterns.
Self-compassion exercises
Practicing self-compassion involves treating yourself with kindness and understanding, acknowledging your pain without judgment.
Creative expression
Engaging in creative activities such as art, music, or dance can provide a means of expressing and exploring your inner child's emotions.
Mindfulness and meditation

Inner child workshops or groups
Participating in workshops or support groups focused on inner child work can provide a sense of community and validation.
Re-parenting yourself
Learning to meet your own emotional needs by setting boundaries, practicing self-care, and nurturing yourself as you would a child.
Inner child affirmations
Using affirmations to reprogram negative beliefs and replace them with positive, empowering messages can help heal your inner child's wounds.
Connecting with nature
Spending time outdoors and connecting with the natural world can be grounding and soothing, facilitating inner healing and growth.
Consistency and patience are key when working on your inner child. It's essential to approach this process with gentleness, compassion, and a willingness to explore and embrace all aspects of yourself. ๐ซ๐๐ซ
March 10th 2024 - New Moon
In various mystical traditions, the new moon symbolizes a time of renewal, beginnings, and hidden potential. It's believed that during this phase, the moon's energy is at its lowest, making it an opportune time for introspection, setting intentions, and planting seeds for new growth. Some also view the new moon as a portal for spiritual awakening or heightened intuition, where the veil between worlds is thin, allowing for deeper connections with the unseen realms. Additionally, the darkness of the new moon is associated with the subconscious mind, offering a fertile ground for dreams, visions, and spiritual insights to emerge. ๐ซ๐๐ซ
March 20th - New Moon ๐
A new moon occurs when the moon is positioned between the Earth and the sun, with its illuminated side facing away from us, rendering it invisible from Earth. This phase marks the beginning of a new lunar cycle, symbolizing renewal, fresh starts, and hidden potential. It's a time often associated with introspection, setting intentions, and planting seeds for new beginnings. In cultures around the world, the new moon holds significance in rituals, ceremonies, and spiritual practices as a time for manifestation and growth. ๐ป
Women's Day is important because it serves as a global platform to recognize and celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. It raises awareness about gender equality and highlights the ongoing struggles women face in many parts of the world. By commemorating Women's Day, we reaffirm our commitment to promoting women's rights, empowering women, and creating a more inclusive and equitable society for all genders. It's a time to reflect on progress made, acknowledge challenges ahead, and inspire action towards a more gender-balanced world. ๐ป
๐ซEmbrace your uniqueness fully.
๐ซEmbrace being a deep thinker and feeler.
๐ซEmbrace your attunement to a different wavelength. Acknowledge your ability to perceive things others may not.
๐ซEmbrace your inclination towards discussing different dimensions, energy, miracles, and spirituality.
๐ซEmbrace moving past superficial conversations.
๐ซEmbrace letting go of self-limitation.
๐ซEmbrace your desire for freedom to experience the present moment.
๐ปIt's alright if your family, friends, or the world don't understand you.
๐ปIt's alright if you find solace in dancing barefoot on the earth or marveling at the stars.
๐ปIt's alright if you shed tears over sunsets or chase after moonbeams.
๐ปIt's more than alrightโit's wonderful and beautiful.
๐ You've traversed a long path to become who you are. So embrace it all. Love every aspect of yourself. The world needs you to remain true to yourself. You are the equilibrium in this chaotic world. Sunshine and rainbows were my very favourite things as a child and still are ๐๐
Self-care and maintenance are essential practices for overall well-being. It's crucial to recognize that you can't effectively support others if you're depleted. Prioritizing self-care isn't selfish; it's a necessary foundation for being able to give your best to others. Embracing an open-minded attitude towards self-care allows you to acknowledge your own needs without guilt, ultimately enabling you to show up more fully for yourself and those around you. Remember, self-care isn't a luxury; it's a vital investment in your physical, mental, and emotional health ๐ป

Yesterday over tea and cake with a friend, whilst cataloguing her crystal collection, we got onto the subject of Spirit Guides.
( Jessamine Life Coaching and Usui Reiki Healing )
So for todays blog, this what I'm going to write about. The following are my own beliefs and knowledge I have gained over the years while working with Spirit. Your beliefs may differ, but the following information has been experienced by many friends, family and clients over the years too. So just read with an open mind and feel how it sits with you afterwards. Let me know your thoughts in the comments ๐ซ๐๐ซ
Q
What is a spirit guide?
A
Spirit guides are beings that have transitioned into the afterlife. But rather than reincarnating on earth again, they have chosen to dedicate their existence to being spirit guides as a way of continuing their soulโs evolution. This is a high honorโnot all of us have the option of becoming a spirit guide. To have this option suggests a high level of mastery and ascension.
Weโre paired with the spirit guides that can best serve us. This often looks like complementary strengths or similar strengths. If youโre known for running late, you may have a spirit guide that was always prompt when living and so theyโre able to guide you in being prompt. Alternatively, you may have a spirit guide that was also constantly late and so youโve been paired to overcome this challenge together. Spirit guides often know us better than we know ourselves. Theyโre wonderful at helping us out and guiding us in healing and growth.
Q
Are our spirit guides with us our whole life?
A
Yes! We tend to have multiple spirit guides at a time because there is really no limit to how many we receive. Most of us are walking around with an entourage of spirit guides and donโt even know it. If you have the gift of clairvoyance, you might see them with you.
Some guides are with us for specific moments in life. They may come in during a particularly challenging moment and then leave once youโre in the clear. Letโs say youโre in the hospital: A trauma guide may stay with you and hold space for you until you leave the hospital. Some guides are assigned to specific relationships, so if that relationship ends, the guide is no longer needed and will leave. Same goes for work agreements, events, and experiences. There may be a guide that helps everyone involved with that one experience and is around only for that experience. There are guides that we might work with only once in our lifetime. Others are like subject-matter experts and will come and go as needed. For example, you may have a heartbreak guide that shows up to help you mend and then leaves when youโre feeling complete.
Most of us have at least one guide that is with us our entire lives. This spirit guide will see you through it all, emphasize your gifts and talents, help point you in the direction of your path and purpose, and offer guiding light during moments of darkness. A small minority of us will outgrow our original guide and gain a new guide over time. Itโs like outgrowing a mentor and then getting a new one.
While the guide may offer insight, guidance, clarity, and direction, itโs ultimately up to the human to decide whether they want to follow the guidance or not. Spirit guides know this. There are rules that can help us maximize the potential of this relationship. If a person were to want a new guide, they could call one in. Whether you wish to continue or complete a contract with one of your guides, you have all the power in this.
Q
Can our loved ones on the other side act as our spirit guides?
A
Many of us refer to our deceased beloveds as our spirit guides. They are in spirit form, and they are absolutely guiding us. However, theyโre not technically classified as spirit guides.
Teaching is mastery. Beings become spirit guides as a way of mastering all theyโve been learning and even teaching. Letโs pretend all humans are undergraduate students at the university of life. Think of your deceased loved ones as graduate students or teaching assistants and think of spirit guides as tenured professors. Your TA will surely help you along your path, and you may even have more contact with them than you do with your professor.
Q
How can we start communicating with our spirit guides?
A
For some, interaction can be as simple as acknowledging their presence and starting a dialogue. Others will find more confidence and clarity with a bit more structure. You may light a candle, set an intention to connect with them, and invoke them. You may explore connecting with them through automatic writing and requesting they write through you. You may simply visualize a figure standing in front of you and start the conversation that way.
I have friends who head up to the astral plane, where they live, to meet them on their turf and then invite them down to Earth. Most feel a decrease in temperature when plugging their guides in. A few feel an increase in temperature. Some people experience a buzzing sensation, and others feel nothing at all. The way spirit guides help can be really subtle, yet so profound and impactful.
Spirit guides exist in the realm of infinite possibilities and are not confined by time or space. There is no limit to what they can do for us. In fact, the more they help us, the more they ascend. Spirit guides can help with anything bigโdivorce, health concerns. Or smallโlike parking spaces, or motivation to do the dishes or go to work.
Q
Is there a way to learn the names of our spirit guides?
A
The deal with spirit guides is that they donโt really have shape or form, and they donโt actually have names. However, our human minds work well with shape and form in helping us identify spirit guides and focus our energies so we may better connect with them. Itโs incredible how theyโll present themselves or how we may perceive them when we start connecting with them. Some people see their spirit guides very vividly and in full detail, while others see shadow figures. As long as the connection is strong, youโre good!
A name can do the same thing. It can facilitate our connection with them. It helps us focus and tune in to their energy. While the guides donโt actually have names, I know of friends who ask for their names, and the majority of the time they hear a name. A few people wonโt hear anything, in which case you can assign names to your guides. Itโs the difference between getting somewhere with a map versus getting there without a map. Sure, you can connect to them without a name, but you may get a little lost or take the long way or feel uncertain the entire time. If a map is available to you, why not use it and get there more quickly and easily? Using their names will help invoke them with greater precision and efficiency. All you have to do is askโtheyโll tell you. If they donโt, simply ask, โMay I call you ______?โ and assign them a name.
๐๐ True story ๐๐
๐ซLeap Day Blessings ๐ซ
Leap Day, occurring just once every four years, is believed by some to possess profound spiritual significance. This rarity of February 29th suggests that its energy vibrations are unique, prompting us to take a leap of faith. It serves as a catalyst, offering the momentum needed to pursue endeavors that may have previously lacked thrust. With an extra day at our disposal, it's an opportune moment to organize our affairs and seize the day. Moreover, this unique day is said to influence the fabric of the Universe itself, impacting the space-time continuum.
During this period, it's crucial to introspect and evaluate our current life circumstances. What do we aspire to achieve in the days, months, and years ahead? Once we've discerned our desires, we're encouraged to articulate them to the Universe, which, devoid of temporal constraints, eagerly awaits our intentions. Embracing the present moment is paramount, as time holds no sway over the higher realms. Every instant is a singular moment of consciousness, and our task is to fully inhabit that consciousness rather than endlessly pursuing it.
In 2024, the vibrational essence of Leap Day aligns with the number 3, symbolizing the interconnected trinity of mind, body, and spirit, perpetuating a cycle of rebirth, death, and life. This numerical resonance also heralds the Universe's abundance, inviting us to partake in its blessings. Furthermore, the number 3 is associated with optimism, enthusiasm, and joy, urging us to shed pessimism and embrace a more positive outlook. By cultivating joy within ourselves and radiating positivity to others, we open ourselves to life's manifold blessings and opportunities.
My story...
Throughout my 58 years of life, I've encountered a balance of highs, lows, and everything in between, as one does. However, in 2017, a horrific car accident left me physically unscathed but shattered psychologically. Little did I know, this event would serve as the catalyst for my healing journey. Since then, life has thrown blow after blow my way, pushing me to the brink where I questioned if I could continue. It was at my lowest point that I experienced a profound shift. My spiritual, mental, and physical being cracked open, allowing years of buried trauma to surface. Faced with this newfound realization, I embarked on a quest for help, which led me to shamanic plant medicine - a journey that resonated deeply with me. Through this unconventional path, I gained a deeper understanding of myself, shedding self-judgment and embracing the messy, beautiful human experience. I learned that life is a series of lessons, not a test with a final exam. Armed with a toolbox of healing techniques, I continue to do the ongoing work on myself, striving for balance and growth.
My life purpose is clear: to hold space for others as they navigate their own healing journeys. It makes perfect sense to me why I had to go through all of those events... in order to understand trauma, grief, and all the other emotions attached to those two subjects so that I could fully understand it in others. I passed my first holistic qualification exams in 2003, but I have never stopped learning - constantly learning. I've been on an incredible journey of self-discovery and healing. Recognizing and acknowledging the trauma I was carrying and seeking help. My understanding and acceptance of the human experience, with all of its ups and downs, is profound. Holding space for others as they navigate their own healing paths is a beautiful way to give back. My journey serves as a reminder that it's okay to struggle and seek help, and that healing is an ongoing process.
Feel free to share this post if only to strike up those conversations that lead to "It's perfectly ok to discuss deep emotions that are harbouring any kind of trauma. And it's more than ok to ask for help to navigate it, understand it, and heal it."

By midlife, we're usually aware enough to understand which of our issues most need attention.
We've learned where we're strong, but also where we're weak.
We know what parts of ourselves to be proud of and what parts of ourselves should change.
We know what our issues are. It might not be a time when we're learning new things about ourselves so much as understanding more deeply what we already know.
This is not the time to stop working on ourselves; it's the time when we've finally accumulated enough clues to help crack the case and solve the mystery of the why and how we've kept ourselves bound for so long.
Its not the time to give up and say, 'this is who I am, its too late to change.' Quite the opposite- its time to take a stand, once and for all, for your own potential.
Don't worry that it took you so long to get to this point. It takes everyone this long.
We know nothing until we know all the ways that we're not who we should be.
Only then do we have a chance at becoming the people we've wanted to be... from the day we were born.
And for that reason alone, these are sacred years. ๐ป
