β½οΈ U10 Season Review β½οΈ
Wow what a season it has been! Matt and I are incredibly proud of the lads and how far they have come together. This season as our first, as a team has been amazing. For us its all about progression individually and as a team, and thats clear to see.
Season started off in level 4 where we played some good football but couldnt quite manage to keep going for the full game managing 1 draw out of 10 games and being put into level 5.
The boys never gave up and going down a level really helped them with their passing and moving.
It was sad that not everyone that started the season with us could finsh -
Kai
Joel
Luca
Seth
Eddie
Henry
But they were important for us to start the team up!
Best thing for me this season is the partnership we are building between Barton Rovers Sharks and Hemington. It has been incredible since November and thanks to Lee we managed to bring in -
George
Kian
Cal
Tommy
Which has not only added quailty to the squad but also the right kids that buy into team play and also bonding off the field of play. Which has been fantastic to see.
The lads that been there from the start have been fantastic and really worked hard on their game this year and can see there progression week on week out -
Theo
Leo
Jaicob
Lenny
Kai
Toby
Ellis
Also massive shout out to -
Albert
Xander
For there first full season playing organised football.
Second half of the season was abit different... we managed to go on a 16 game winning run with some tough games in there and also managed to secure a cup victory in the process, which was a fantastic day in the sun for the club and the kids.
We manged to score 128 goals this season and conceeded 56.
4 clean sheets, which is phenomenal. Also every player managed to score at least 1 goal, and it was fitting that Xander scored his first, and the teams last goal this season. We're so happy for him.
Hemington Top scorers -
Jaicob 7
Leo 6
Kai 17
Toby 9
Seth 2
Eddy 5
George 10
Lenny 4
Kian 41
Ellis 8
Albert 2
Tommy 12
Cal 4
Xander 1
The stand outs for me are -
Toby scoring 9 goals in his first year, playing a year up. Fantastic pal.
Kai 17 goals is very impressive but seeing him back to his best, has been amazing.
Also, Kian 41 goals and 36 assists, in just 11 games. That's outstanding but the most incredible thing is, he puts his team first. He really wanted Xander to get his goal and that just shows what a team player he is, just like the rest. Even Jaicob said can we go on the pitch to celebrate with Xander β€οΈ
Lastly from me...
Ellyβ©, thank you for everything you have done for us this season we appreciate it and love your enthusiasm for the Hammersππ€
Matt Pearceβ©, couldn't wish for a better person to coach these amazing kids with, even if you act more of a kid than them at times ππ really appreciate you mate.
And also to the parents for the travelling, the fantastic support you show the kids and always cheering them. Thank you, it means alot to us and the kids
U7s looking fantastic in their new kit with sponsor!

Hemington Hammers (Sundays) played their final game of the season at home to West Bridgeford Knights.
Finishing 2-2, The Hammers were left disappointed in a game that they created many chances. Story of our season and the step up to Division 1 just about found us out.
Twice the lads went behind but showed great character and resilience to fight back for a well deserved point.
Many good performances with Jason Ambrose-Jones, Subin Rai, Josh Lawrence, Dylan Neald, Aaron Turnbull, Liam Statham and Russell Johnson in particular standing out.
Man of the Match was Cameron Wilkinson who worked tirelessly, constantly drove the team forward and gained a deserved goal.
