Derby Churches Nightshelter has been running since 2013. It aims to provide temporary accommodation for 35 street homeless guests.
Nightshelter emerged as a response to the 85% cut to the homeless financial provision in Derby City by the local authority. The financial cut was the largest of all local authorities in the UK and meant fewer beds available over the severe weather provision period of 1st Dec-31st Mar.
