We have set up this page as dedicated page for Scotts legacy , to simply share with the community and network of Scotts friends where these kits are going .
A foundation in memory of Scott who is missed by so many, to help his legacy live on helping people follow his passion, his death although a tragic accident was avoidable due to gross negligence with no one held to account & sadly no lessons learnt Scott tragically lost his life when the stage collapsed whilst working at a Radiohead concert in Toronto on 16th June 2012 a tragic BUT avoidable acc
Thankyou very much to Theo Fleetwood who generously gifted his kit to the Scott Johnson foundation. Deb Lord and Clare got in touch to let me know about Aidan who is autistic and suffered from mental health issues and how drumming lessons was one of the few things that have helped Aidan
So Aidans Mum Lisa drove then through from St Neots to collect this lovely kit and kindly brought cupcakes too !!

Just prepping these 3 electronic drum kits going out to children’s homes thanks to Steve Walker and Loo Yeo who very generously gave me timbales , percussion, stands and a Questlove kit to sell to generate funds to help kids who can not afford or gain access to drums all in Scott Johnson memory

Scott Johnson kit 208 ….. thanks to Aaron McDermid this complete electronic kit is on its way to Dominic in care in Shipley. Dominic has been having drumming lessons at school for a few years and has got to grade 4 with nothing to practise on !!! His foster carers can just about squeeze this kit in.

What an incredibly generous man Pete Shrimpton is driving 21/2 hrs up t’north and gifting his Roland kit. All serviced and PAT tested and on its way to a children’s home in Leeds that has a group offering music lessons workshops and performances for kids in the care system in the Leeds area. They really wanted an ekit that was good enough for performance but also so kids could plug their headphones in and not disrupt others in the home

Kit 205 a joint effort with drum equipment gifted and sold to pay for this kit going which Liam collected yesterday. Liam works with budding musicians 20 and younger and also hosts open mic nights to enable them to play in front of crowds at Doncaster woolmarket

Kit 204 with a huge thankyou again to Ian Wright who gifted a twin bass drum kit. We split the kit to help more than one drummer and with the help of Josh Sharpe we put together another kit. This one was collected today by Will in the photo who teaches drums at Fir vale school Sheffield to lots on under privileged kids. Will said the kit will help loads of drummers very keen to practise

I managed to get together a snare and hardware. Ben came through today with his foster carers and had no idea where he was going
I had if all set up and tuned ready. His carers had told me how much he loved music and was into green day and blink 182 and dreamed of being in a band. Thankyou Matt for your kindness once again

Nicky Royle Leggitt made contact to say her son Josh wanted to gift his drum kit having upgraded and wanted to help someone else. So drove to Sheffield to collect Josh’s drum kit and it’s gone back to Sheffield to help a great organisation
Crookes Brass Band / Grimethorpe Brassworks Sheffield youth band - currently there’s 3-4 drummers across the two bands but this will allow them to take more on and get some new ones going as well. Both bands are run by Grimethorpe Education and non profit organisation to simply help youth in music

Thanks to the generosity of good friend Ian Wright gifting one of his double bass drum kits, we can split them and help two drummers out in memory of Scott Johnson. Today a foster carer came over from Hull with a drum crazy young lad in her care. We went through the kit and he was beaming as he had a good old play

A trip over to Sheffield to collect this kit gifted thanks to a very generous Melissa Jacques. Pleased to say I have delivered and set up with 12 year old Aaron who is in safeguarding with lovely foster parents in Barnsley.
Aaron was also kitted out with a t shirt , baseball cap and sticks generously provided by Paul Warsop Drums Duncan and Martin Potts at Mapex UK.
Thankyou all. Aaron said “ I will be buying Mapex when famous and on a world tour!” Made a little fellas dream of owning a drum kit reality

Trip out to Pudsey today to deliver and set up a kit for Callum who’s music teacher in an Alternative Provision school in Leeds called 'The Elland Academy' got in touch to say how much Callum would benefit from a gifted kit

Massive thankyou to Ryan Jones son of my close friend and great drummer Neil Jones for generously gifting this drum kit having heard all about Scott Johnson from his dad.
I had a trip out to Hull on Friday to deliver and set this up for another Ryan !!
8 year old who is in the care system in hull , sadly due to being safeguarded there’s no photos this time but rest assured Ryan is absolutely thrilled
He said Christmas had come a month early on 24th Nov !!
