Another year another fantastic JOLLY PIRATE MUTINY at The Red Lion Pub - Swanage

Shame we didn't have a few more little junior Pirates, but we made as much fuss as possible of the few there we did have.

Thank you The Captain's Beard for a thoroughly enjoyable Saturday night and to the Magikats for stepping in at short notice to make Sunday Night just as enjoyable. And to The Red Lion for hosting us.

Yo Ho Swanage!! So next week the anual SWANAGE PIRATE Festival is upon us.
🏴‍☠️May 25th and 26th.🏴‍☠️
Where there will be all manor of historical reenactment on the Sandpit field & the Banjo beach.
As well as this we The Jolly Rogers - Dorset will be back with our Fun filled family event THE JOLLY PIRATE MUTINY hosted by the RED LION.
- Jolly PUB crawl starting at the RED LION Fri night.
- ENTERTAINMENT for the kids eith CAPTAIN JACK from 2pm including Dancing, kids Pirate tattoos, Pirate Pinata and much more. 🏴‍☠️
Then from 8pm
We have live music from the Magnificent The Captain's Beard 🎶🎻🥁🎶 The best sea shanty band in all the seven seas.
And even more Jolly shenanigans and live music on the Sunday. Some come join us at the RED LION for the JOLLY PIRATE MUTINY!

This is a totally FREE event but all money raised goes towards the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance please give what you can 🙏🏻

So we had a little trip to Swanage today and found out The Red Lion is having a grand opening tomorrow night. And although it is short notice, Captain Jack and his salty w***h Scarlett will be in attendance to see how the land lies for the Pirate festival in May. If anyone can make it, we would be most glad to see you

Attention Jolly Rogers! Our good friends The Captain's Beard are back in Dorset in less than two weeks and I'm sure they'd love to see some pirates in the crowd.

So if you like sea shanties, songs about drinking, and shouting BEARD head on down to Hardy's in Dorchester on Saturday 17th September and show them some love!

In the middle of a tour we stopped for a quick break in Dorchester. We were immediately charmed by the idyllic rural town vibes and a truly cavernous Tesco.

The very next day by complete coincidence we received a call from Hardy's in Dorchester asking us to play a gig there. We obviously agreed.

So come see us at Hardy's in Dorchester on Saturday 17th of September 10pm start.

Hi all. A good bit of news, Greg and Gail have kindly offered to run a stall at Swanage xmas Market on Saturday 4th December, this is to raise funds for the running costs of The Jolly Rogers, Greg and Gail are making jams, chutneys etc, is there anyone else who would like to contribute home-made goods that could be sold on the stall? This will be in conjunction with a charity raffle for the Air Ambulance, does anyone have anything they can contribute as prizes, or ask businesses you know for donations? We shall be attending the market in full pirate rig as usual, if you would like to join us for a good swash-buckling day, please feel free.

The Crew will be parading to greet Santa to Wareham, please come along as pirates and show your support.

The Elf’s at ‘Christmas in Wareham’ have been busy these last few days preparing to brighten Wareham at Christmas.

New Xmas lights have been purchased with money raised. The existing lights have been refurbished. The plans for the Christmas parade are starting to take place.

The big man ‘Santa’ has been booked to visit Wareham on the 12th December with his golden boots.

More details of events leading up to the big switch on of the lights and the parade will follow shortly.

We presented them with a cheque for £1235.84 which was raised during our Pirate weekend in Swanage, the rest from various other events/fun days since then, we will hold onto the remainder and keep adding to it from the generous donations from the public
