The 2024 Youth Cycling league season has begun! This is a special year for us as we celebrate 30 years of our involvement with the league.

Our support began in 1994 as Scottish Provident International. Although we may have changed a bit in that time, Dot Tilbury and her cycling league have remained a constant! This year’s season started with 267 new riders 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

Some of our staff have been celebrating Chinese New Year. The celebration that lasts 15-16 days is typically celebrated with family gatherings and fireworks. 2024 is the year of the Dragon, which is seen as a really auspicious year.

A survey of over 1,000 UAE residents conducted by International Financial Group Limited - IFGL in late 2023 shows that one in ten view cryptocurrencies as the best way to generate inflation-beating returns 💹

Overall, Gold came out on top as the most effective inflation-proof investment at 24%, however results show an emerging passion for crypto in UAE investors. Cryptocurrencies proved most popular with younger generations, and were more in demand among males (12%) than females (6%).

Simon Barwell, IFGL’s Marketing Director, said: 'Some UAE investors are clearly pursuing risky strategies whereas they should be building a diverse portfolio of assets with different risk and return profiles.'

Last month we welcomed the RL360 Youth Cycling League to International House for their 2023 Rider of the Month prize presentation.

Ten young riders who showed exceptional skills were awarded a £50 voucher for Bikestyle Isle of Man, a trophy, and a mini bouquet of flowers.

There was also a Volunteer of the Year award, which went to Lottie Barron. Well done to all our youth cyclists!
